We have been to The Garrison twice. The service has gotten worse since our first visit. The disjointed staff tried not to honor our reservation, but did finally seat us at a high top against our preference. Service was slow. We received cocktails that were not what we ordered, but by that point we didn’t care anymore. Soup was good. Lamb meatballs were excellent. Apple pork roll was very good. Garrison burger was not cooked to proper temperature, and was virtually inedible. This was our last visit to The Garrison. We do not recommend.

Went there for my 21st birthday because it was recommended to be on qc food lovers, it was nothing special at all especially for the price. I was expecting good quality atleast .. the potatoes lack butter & milk they’re BEYOND DRY our whole group of 8 thought so.. the steak was the only good part about the meal! Didn’t get nothing special like the described cotton candy for your birthday .. not even a happy birthday from the waitress plus she added her own gratuity so each bill was about $90 for the 2 for $65 meals … I won’t be recommending this to anyone as I honestly wish I chose somewhere different .

They were probably short staff because the hostess was doing 2 or 3 things so obviously the wait was long to get drinks & food. My entrée came out luke warm/cool. I sent it back and it came back hot. But with all that being said, my Pineapple Martini & the Scallop Spaghettini was mouth watering to the 20th power....

RICHARD! He’s the man. It was me and my boys first time in Iowa as we are from Jersey, and he hit us with a great experience and awesome drinks. The speakeasy had a great environment, and going to the bathroom was a fun challenge as well, iykyk.

Richard was a great bartender at the speakeasy. Made the atmosphere enjoyable, and great cocktails. Very knowledgeable, and helped my friends and I with recommendations.

Pure adventure—bold flavors, bootleg cocktails, and a vibe that’s equal parts glamour and nostalgia. Every dish and drink has a story, and it’s one you won’t want to miss!

Loved this place! Went for the first time last night to celebrate a birthday, and it was the perfect choice! Our waiter, Sky, was so incredibly attentive and friendly! I ordered the steak and it was by far the best I’ve had in the QC. For the price, it was well worth it!! The Speakeasy was also great, especially the bartender Aidan!! I definitely recommend this restaurant and bar!

One of my favorite fine dining restaurants in the quad cities. The atmosphere is mid century, low lit, with very chill vibes. I have had nothing but good experience with the service and the food is absolutely delicious! I especially love that they have unique butter flavors for the bread service that have changed every visit!

Grilled shrimp was baked and nearly raw, salad was moldy and not washed, steaks overcooked, lemon chicken soup with 0 lemon, honey carrots with no honey or any seasonings. We had 6 people at dinner not one person enjoyed their food. Service was just as bad, we saw our server maybe 4 times over 3 hours. Ran out of drinks and took nearly an hour and a half to get our salads which all came out at different times. We were over charged and had the wrong items sent out to us. Apps,.salads and entrees all came.out together. Would never ever go back. Horrible Horrible Horrible dont waste your money or your time. experience.

We made reservations for our wedding anniversary. Once we got seated we were told about being down 1 bartender and we were seated at the high top tables where typically the bartender is also our server. We knew ahead of time he was feeling a little overwhelmed with drinks and service running solo. Intermittently another friendly server would check in on us or notify our server. Slow for drinks understandably so. So we moved to the bar to make it easier on him. We ordered food hubby got scalloped spaghetti and mushroom Risotto he absolutely loved his food. I ordered the spinach salad and added grilled chicken breast to it. Food all came out same time except they forgot my chicken breast. I don't eat a lot and rely on protein so I was purposefully waiting until the meat came (figured make it on the fly couple min) nope it finally came out when husband asked for boxes as he was finished. I didn't even get a bite I asked to just get it taken off the bill and asked for manager. He came over and of course apologized for tonight's service mistakes and proceeded to remove mine and husband's food off our bill. When I did get a chance to eat my salad the next day my opinion was just ehh but it's a salad not mind blowing. The vinaigrette dressing that went with it was flavorless so I used ranch instead. I'll contemplate on possibly giving another shot but for the price of the food very underwhelmed and we have many other options around here for special outings for celebrating a d this one will be low on our radar.

I took my family to The Garrison and had an amazing experience!!! My mother is 83 and had a burger. Weeks later she still raves about the best burger she has ever had!!! The Shrimp Diablo was to die for!!! The staff was welcoming ! Walking in was Jade with a beautiful smile and dressed elegant. Takes us to the table with server right behind her to get us our drinks. The chef came to the table after our meal. Just very respectful relaxed experience. I would recommend to anyone!!!

We had a deeply disappointing experience with both the catering and management/ownership after hiring them for our wedding. Unfortunately, the event was riddled with issues, including inedible food and numerous complaints from our guests. I was disappointed with the dining experience, as the steaks were served raw despite providing specific instructions for how each guest prefers their steak. Additionally, the side dishes arrived much later than expected, which affected the overall timing of the meal. This impacted the enjoyment of the evening, and I hope you can address these issues moving forward.

Since this was our wedding, we wanted to avoid further disruptions, so we waited until after the event to provide detailed feedback to management.Given that this was a wedding dinner, it was impossible to address these problems during the event without further upsetting the experience.

The response we received from the owner was as disappointing as the food. He claimed his staff told him a completely different story, effectively calling me a liar. He dismissed my feedback, saying it was invalid because I waited until after the event to raise the issues. There was no apology or offer of any kind of compensation. It was a harsh and unprofessional response, especially given that it was our wedding.

I hope this serves as a warning to others considering this business, as we would hate for anyone else to experience what we went through.
