Great place for a quick unwind and bite to eat, I could pick out the manager over the staff very quickly as direct instruction was done in front of guests to the staff, only suggestion is that if staff are not to their expectation don’t address it in front of customers as you come off as a tad bit rude, bar staff was superb! Employees are people not perfected mule. We all make mistakes 🤷‍♂️

The Cajun Chicken Alfredo is the best in the Quad Cities. The chef (Justin) doesn’t miss, I eat there very often and it’s always amazing. The bartender (Fingers) is the best. He can handle the whole bar and restaurant and make it look like it’s easy. He also has the most personality and is the most entertaining bartender in the QC. Claudia the manager always makes you feel welcome and ensures you are getting the best service. Can’t recommend this place enough.

I had chicken fettuccine and it was great. This is a nice, casual restaurant and the service was good.

The Martinis (pictured Kinkytini and Chocolate pistachio) were amazing! The dill mushrooms and bread service were also amazing!! The steak was ok. Jay was amazing and provided excellent customer service. We loved the whole atmosphere of the place and would go back for Martinis for sure and the piano player. Happy hour is the time go for the martinis!!!

Our Supper Club chose to dine here last Saturday, we had a group of 10. We had drinks and then appetizers, the mint chocolate chip martini and the espresso martini both were amazing! We all bought appetizers to share and they were all great. Every one of us loved our entrée. I had the New York strip, which was fantastic and my husband had a fillet and he said it was fantastic too. We both eat our steaks, medium rare, and they were cooked perfect. After dinner, we did split a piece of heath bar cheesecake and it definitely lives up to the hype! I think all of our favorite part of the atmosphere was the piano player! He was so fun and played great sing a long songs. Our group had a lot of fun singing along with him and dancing in our chairs! Our server/Alise did a stellar job of taking our orders, a timely delivery of appetizers and drinks. But most importantly, our food was all delivered within a few minutes of each other, so nobody was sitting and waiting for their food. Claudia did a great job on making sure everybody had what they needed. Everything was prepared the way we wanted it and the final touch of boxing our leftovers for us, was just the chefs kiss on top of a great evening. We will definitely be coming back.

Went there late Wednesday night as everything else was closed. We didn’t have food because the kitchen was closed so we sat at the bar and had a few drinks. Atmosphere was great and the best part was the bartender. He was amazing, engaging, and entertaining. Great drinks too. We will be back (a lot)

Disappointed by the Decline in Atmosphere

While I haven't been to The Phoenix in a while, We recently stopped in after a great dinner nearby, looking for a nice, upscale spot to enjoy a drink. Unfortunately, the experience was anything but that.

To me, a bartender can make or break a place — and on this night, the gentleman behind the bar completely missed the mark. He was loud, offensive, and crude. Between the constant use of the F-word and an inappropriate conversation about prostitutes' private parts, it felt more like a rough dive bar than the classy environment I remember.

We finished our one drink and left. Based on this experience, we won’t be returning — at least not while that bartender is still there. It’s a shame, because The Phoenix once had a great atmosphere. Sadly, that wasn’t the case on this visit, and judging by the mostly empty bar on a Saturday night, I suspect others may feel the same.

Great food. Best Chicken Cordon Bleu anywhere. The house-made Cabernet Butter is exceptional. Cocktails are good.

Incredibly okay. The staff were friendly enough but the serve wasn't familiar with martini types. My partner ordered two Manhattans and received a Manhattan and an old fashioned.

The top sirloin was fine but under seasoned and on the tougher side. The pork was also under seasoned.
