We had a young waiter tonight and probably new, plus they were busy, but we weren't checked on between the time we ordered to the time our pizza came, which probably 45 minutes or so. He could've sold another beer and he would've gotten a bigger tip. But that's how it goes some times at any given restaurant. We'll be back, this place is legendary!

Ordered a Medium pizza with onions, blk olives, hamburger, extra cheese. The crust was doughy and soft and the hamburger was minced. NOT VERY TASTY. Sorry wont be stopping again.

Lived in Decorah 30 plus years ago. Went back last summer went there for lunch. I have to say was very disappointed in the pizza the cheese bread was excellent though. But the pizza was lacking in taste pretty bland sauce crust tasted like cardboard just overall not good.

In Decorah for a night. Couldn’t find any place open. Was told to call Mabe’s. Ordered the Philly Cheese Steak pizza and the cheesy bread. Had it delivered to me in 15 minutes - piping hot! Food was delicious! Bravo and Thanks!!!!

Went here for a party and the host ordered 5 kinds of pizza. We got perreroni, sausage, cheese, mushroom and veggie. They all tasted the same except the veggie was the only pizza with a different flavor. It tasted like an old salad. The crust is very thin, so thin that the grease of the pizza overwhelmed the flavor, which could be why they all tasted the same. The cheese tasted really fresh though, that was the only redeeming quality. We also got a salad which left a lot to be desired. The lettuce was iceberg (tasted like crisp water) and it had several toppings but could only taste the bacon. It reminded me of a school lunch salad. The house made French dressing was good though.

First time visiting Decorah and we chose Mabe's based on it's 72 year history. It was very busy, but our waiter hustled and took good care of us by keeping us informed about our order. Salad and pizza was great! We chose the 4 meat pizza and it was very tasty! Waiter had a contagious personality!

WOW!!!! What can you say about Mabe's?? Great food!! Fantastic servers! Fabulous cooks, nice atmosphere... reasonable prices... it's ALL you need...our favorite is the sausage and green olives!! And don't forget the onion rings!!!! Out of this world crispy and delicious!!

Solid Midwest pizza. We got the Around the Garden minus the pepperoni (I know, who the hell takes pepperoni OFF a pizza!?!?!?) and it was great.
Our staff member was Han (sorry if I spelled it wrong, I just went with the only other Han I know, Solo). He was excellent.
There was a small issue with the hot sauce being expired, so make sure to check those dates, people!
Really good overall, we will go back.
