We came down for the day , happen to see this cafe and decided to give it a try! I had the Palisades 🥙 and i give it a 10/10. The dill sauce is amazing i wanted to dip my pits in it 🤍😁 The staff were amazing and sweet/helpful! The atmosphere was relaxing and i enjoyed seeing whom i assume were regulars interacting with staff as well! Perfect lunch before i was proposed to! 💍 🤍🖤
Magpie Cafe & Coffeehouse is a favorite stop of mine since I moved back to Decorah in 2014. Today, the service was especially exceptional. I ordered a vanilla latte and it was too strong. I was hesitant to say anything but I could not drink it because I am not a coffee drinker. When my breakfast was deliver, I mentioned that it was too strong for me. The server was so helpful and brought me a couple shots of vanilla and even stirred it. Now it was perfect and I drank all 12...
Friendly staff, cozy atmosphere and excellent food and drinks! We stopped in for breakfast and coffee, and I’m convinced there’s not a bad item on the menu. The biscuits and gravy were particularly excellent, and the Irish coffee was definitely a kick in the teeth to start the day. I only wish we lived closer so we could visit more often!
