Awesome to get this good of bbq is a small town. Bbq restaurants are expensive to run and they do a great job. Turkey was excellent. Smoked baked beans are awesome and gave me toxic gas the next day, sure sign of good work!

I've had bbq from San Antonio and Kansas City, and never would I have imagined that I would find a restaurant in Iowa that could rival the best bbq in those cities. I live an hour and a half away, but that won't stop me from making the drive for their food again. Only a Karen would leave the Old Armory a negative review.
The food and the customer service was AMAZING!!! Fast service and very polite employees! The meat was tender and very flavorful! The sides we got were potato salad, Mac and cheese, sweet potato tots and bacon green beans and they all, including the cornbread, were so delicious!!! I'm definitely going back there. We also bought a shirt because it looked sexy on the hubs, and we wanted to support and advertise for their business because they totally deserve it!!!

This is what American Cuisine should be. This is some of the best barbecue this side of the Mississippi. The prime rib I had was so smoky and melted in my mouth. Honestly a must have dining experience with tons of charm and character.

Partner got a Cuban and Sweet Potato Tots, I got a Brisket Sandwich and Wedges. We both got the corn muffin. 10/10 juicy meat, I’d come back here again when I visit Dunnings Spring again. My partner licked his plate clean and he’s PICKY! Very chill in there it felt more casual.
