Stumbled upon this gem when in town for the weekend. Small and quiet, but bright and inviting. Logan was the lone employee and was incredibly helpful and kind. I tried a slice of the pistachio mortadella and it was incredible. I was going to get that sandwich, however Logan mentioned that the pastrami was the best he’d ever had. I went with it, along with some pickled Fresno peppers, and he wasn’t kidding. It was also one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had! The star of the show, however, was the house made pickle! It was truly excellent! I’m not sure if I’ll even end up in Decorah, IA again, but if I do, I’m definitely going back to see Logan!

Logan’s meats and cheeses in his deli are fresh and the real deal! He’s even going to try to order in some caciocavallo for me- the REAL stinky cheese! The sandwiches he creates are unique and the flavor combos are supreme! GREAT FOOD! Take out only, but so worth it!!

Everything I have had here is absolutely top notch. It’s my favorite and most reliable place to eat in Decorah. High quality ingredients put together by someone who knows what they’re doing.Vegetarian options: The oyster mushroom torta is maybe the best sandwich I’ve ever had in my life.
Top notch place! You wont find a Sand-which place like this anywhere else in NE Iowa.It reminds me of John Viviano & Sons & Gioia's Deli in Saint Louis. There isn't a dine in area so be prepared to carry out!

This is our new favorite place to eat in Decorah. We were in town to visit our son at Luther, and we were looking for a lunch spot. There was a sign outside advertising crab cake sandwiches, and my husband was sold. The sandwiches are delicious, as is the soup and the lemonade. And the owner couldn't be nicer. Highly recommend!

A Must-Try if you're going through or near Decorah.Logan has created an excellent concept and his Deli menu is simple yet elegant.I was pleasantly surprised to see such flavors in the wilderness of the Midwest.We ordered a #1 (Mortadella Monster) and a #4 (Salumeria). Both were excellent. The bread was fresh, the deli meats were tasty. We added the Fresno Peppers and those really elevated the sandwich/panini to the next level.His takeout options are at an excellent price-point, especially for the quality offered.Logan is an excellent proprietor and a conversationlist.I highly recommend a visit to this establishment and perhaps a purchase of the meats offered at his counter for home. It is clear that Logan has a passion for this business and it is shown in his customer service, food quality, and overall experience.

Overlook the almost shabby appearance for top-notch takeout! Cheerful deli service and excellent food. Hubby had the prosciutto sandwich, and it was huge and delicious (we could've split it). Get the homemade pickles.
