Come for the beer, don't stay for the food.Dined in on saturday at 6:00 pm, food was a big letdown. After a long wait the appetizer (chips and queso) was brought out with the main meal and the entrees had gone cold (burger and fried chicken Mac n cheese). We politely asked if they could be warmed up and they were returned within 2 minutes no warmer than the first time. I hope they get better, if not Lua is just up the block with better food and beers.

I don’t know how BGB does it, but every time I have been there, whether with business associates or family members, they seem to always hit it out of the park. The food, service, and spirit of the place is perfect. It is our families favorite place to go and we highly recommend it for virtually any occasion.

The food is good, but that’s honestly about the only good thing I have to say. At best, the servers are slow and inattentive. At worst, they are rude, incompetent, and will just straight up ignore you. Before my last visit, the food was good enough to ignore the lackluster service, but I gotta draw the line somewhere. My partner and I were sat for about 15 minutes before the server even made his way to the table (not busy, like at all). After he took our order, we literally did not see him again until we paid. Someone who wasn’t our server brought the food (but that is normal here to be fair), and we did not get checked on even once. We were there for about an hour and a half. We spent 15 minutes just waiting to order, and another 20 waiting to pay. Because despite multiple attempts to wave him down, a few of those attempts he looked DIRECTLY at us when we waved at him, he completely ignored us and would disappear into some back room for varying amounts of time, just to come out and do the same thing again. He only came over to let us pay our bill after I got up, and went over to where he was standing to tell him we were ready to pay, and had been for 20 minutes now but he was too busy pretending we didn’t exist. When he finally came over, he did not acknowledge the situation. Like we didn’t even get a “sorry”.I would say this is the worst service I’ve ever received, but you have to actually get service for it to be bad. But seriously though, it was a bad enough experience that I don’t intend to come back and will advise others to not go either.

Good food, good beer, and good vibes. Venue is big, but doesn't have a loud and overcrowding feel. Definitely worth the time.

Great beers, service, and food. chile lime bisque was quite a bit more spicy than expected. Not a fan. The macaroni was excellent though and everything else was delicious.

Even when amongst bustling patrons and TV screens flashing sports, the interior decor gives off a sort-off chill, relaxing vibe. Although I was not seated outdoors, the outdoor seating looked quite nice. The food is tasty and filling and the service staff are quite attentive and friendly. Additionally, as someone who biked to get there, I appreciate the location's numerous bike racks.

The cheesesteak was the best I’ve had in a while. The staff was nice, and the plants in the middle of the place was actually real, which I thought was pretty cool. I only had one beer which was good. Good place on my trip to Iowa!

I love a good pretzel, and Big Grove delivers a great one. We go here often, and the service has always been top-notch. Make sure to give yourself extra time to eat here if they are busy.

Came here for lunch before going to a basketball game at Wells Fargo Arena. The beer selection was solid and the food was definitely better than your general bar/brewery fare. The Mac and cheese was great and we ended up with plenty for leftovers. The Philly was also really good and turns out there were any leftovers of that

Attempted the New Years Eve event for children. 'No idea how long the wait is'. Not enough of anything to go around - no tables, no candy, no toys. Dinner of soda, water, mints or popcorn. Couldnt find a waitress to order food to eat 'on our feet'. No seating available. Blood sugar got low and I was threatened for moving a coat over to sit on the edge of a chair. Alexi, owner, gave me his card, a mint, and offered me some fries (after threatened for sitting) but never gave them to me. Left, drove 4 blocks, spent $$$ elsewhere.
