The owner is so kind !!! I asked about vegan options and they told me everything I could have with modifications. The food was delicious and you could tell they love to cook. The atmosphere is just so welcoming and feels like eating at home ❤️
We visited Cafe Chai and tried the Samosa Chaat, Aloo Papdi Chaat, Dahi Puri, and Cardamom Chai. The food was decent and satisfying.
What truly stood out was the chai — absolutely top notch. Fragrant, perfectly spiced, and comforting. Definitely one of the best I’ve had in Des Moines.

Wonderful little place for some authentic Indian flavors!! The owner was so kind and nice to talk to. Highly recommend the cardamom chai, velvet rose (sooooo divine), and the crunchy chaat bowl! 😍
