We love it here so much. The food is amazing and pretty much everything available on the regular menu can be done vegan. There's even vegan horchata. The recent remodel opened up so much more space to dine in too.
It's been forever since I've gotten to eat actually good Mexican food since becoming vegetarian. Their vegetarian versions of dishes are clearly very thoughtful. My new favorite spot in town for sure!!
As a vegan living in Des Moines, El Mich is a local gem. They have both an omnivore menu as well as a full vegan menu, including indulgences like vegan horchata and elote. The ambience is super low key. Except a couple of Fridays ago, they started playing bachata, which I loved! In my experience, El Mich is loved by omnivores and vegans alike.
