This a great breakfast spot in Dsm, tried that the other day and their breakfast options were great and all of their dishes are locally sourced which is even better. The place what I would like to say “emotionally intelligent” and prompting kindness and great food. Definitely recommended.

Great waitress! Very energetic kind knew it was my birthday and I got a free pop tart and that was delicious.

Outside patio... fantastic 😍

Good food. Service has been inconsistent. Atmosphere is what to expect from a cafeteria.

I absolutely love homegrown. It’s me and my baby girl spot she takes me to breakfast or should I say brunch at least two or three times a month everything is delicious and the absolutely wonderful.

Seriously good food & coffee! The seasonal pumpkin bread French toast is a must! The service at West Des Moines location exceeded my expectations as a first time guest. Definitely will be back.

Fast, friendly service despite looking fairly busy. Pumpkin bread French toast was excellent, as was my latte.

Everything was perfect! Loved the food, and my friends enjoyed theirs as well. One described their biscuits and gravy as melt in your mouth, the eggs Benedict were on point, and they had gluten-free/dairy free for one of my friends ? and the mimosas were lovely.

Best brunch in Iowa currently. Everything has been consistent the dozen times I've been here which is the hardest part about brunch.

This makes all other diners look like a greasy sloppy mess tbh. Good establishment with good employees.

What a delight.

Chose HomeGrown on a Monday at 10am. Place was busy! I was greeted quickly and only had a small wait to be seated. In and outdoor options for seating. I chose in. Tables, booths, high tops and I got a booth.

Liked right away that the table had made in Des Moines carved on it. Very nice.

It's newer so the place looked great. Open ceilings with exposed piping, big lights, food and plant prints, flowers on the tables. Lots of wood and metal touches.

Menu was perfect for ME. I know some people enjoy hundreds of options, I don't. This was just right IMO. Plenty to choose from without being overwhelming.

My omelet was lovely. Out in about 15 minutes. Strawberry jam scrumptious. Rosemary potatoes cooked just right.

Server Andrea had the best smile! She was quick and professional and kind. Yay.

$16 for the meal, I had a pop with mine, and I just left a $20 to cover a decent tip. Side note that I appreciated the container of brown sugar on the table.

Many things that tempted me, including some French toast, so I will be back.

Make sure you get on the waiting list before you go. It's very busy. The coffee cake is fantastic, as was everything else. The spicy bloody mary is SPICY.
