Went last night for their 11th anniversary menu and wine pairing. Elegantly done with outstanding service. Best soup and naan I’ve had anywhere. Amazing date spot. The staff was beyond friendly.

HoQ Restaurant is a hidden treasure in the heart of Des Moines, known for its warm hospitality and delicious food. The restaurant emphasizes the use of locally grown ingredients in simple, tasteful recipes. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Menu highlights include the Free-Range Chicken Burrito and the large pork schnitzel, which is very good with a generous portion. Customers also enjoy the fresh naan, bread pudding for dessert, and the Smokeey Paloma. The ambiance can be quiet, especially during late evening hours, but the service remains excellent. The restaurant offers reasonably priced options like the meal for two, with fresh ingredients and well-cooked dishes such as salmon and pork schnitzel.
