Amazing spot! Great music, delicious drinks, and the staff is the absolute best. A warm and welcoming environment — instantly felt at home
We don’t get out much with littles, so when we do we love when it isn’t a disappointment. The Contrary offered something we’ve yet to find here in Des Moines. The Contrary is a chic bar with exposed brick and great attention to lighting and detail. It offers excellent, creative cocktails, with a helpful menu that outlines ingredients and includes pictures. There is also a small food menu with bar bites. The staff is super cool, very helpful, and inviting, providing the best service. It is definitely worth checking out if you are in the area.
