I was looking forward to trying this food, I had a craving for Jerk. I called to order my food and the owner was extremely disrespectful. I had never experienced something like that with a restaurant and I wasn’t even in her presence. I tried to order and she was talking to multiple people in the background cutting me off a little understandable she’s trying to multi-task, the lady continues to rush me and say “can you hurry up I got a line full a people” and all I had asked was “what were the sides”. I place the order a few minutes later she calls my phone cursing me out accusing me of having someone pick up the food and not pay which I in fact did not do, she goes on to say “why you playing dumb like you didn’t have a boy in a black charger come pick up food and not give me my money”. I was extremely confused and caught off guard. I thought the purpose of taking names for the orders were so mix ups don’t happen, with me not knowing whoever it was that came and stole from her I know for a fact that they did not tell her my name before she just handed the food. Calling my phone yelling as a business owners is highly disrespectful, ghetto and unprofessional. To think I was going to spend my hard earned money at this dump. You would think a SMALL business owner would ensure they don’t lose or fumble customers. The stores mode is food cooked with love but there was absolutely no love.

My husband met the owner and she was a delight to talk to. She had a cool vibe to her and was super nice. The portion sizes were immaculate. Everything was delicious and tasted like they were made with love. I definitely recommend Lady Jerk to everyone looking a for a good meal. Like I wish I found her sooner. Compared to everything else on doordash this was one helluva treat.

I drive 30miles paid full price for bones and a taste of food. I don't even care about the price. If was the fact that I left still hungry after spending that much money that made me angry. Yes, the food was good. But I would rather go somewhere else for a full meal and NOT adult prices for a toddler's plate.Yes, They have their favorite customers. So, if they don't know u, they serve you with nothing. Meanwhile, there regular customers get extra. I'm sure you will do well in the future by doing this..Keep it up!I'll Pass!✌?

This is a pop up in a shared kitchen space that is only here on Fridays and Saturdays from 11a-6p. There is limited seating. The food was on point! The jerk oxtails and rib tips were flavorful but not too spicy. The sides we had (yams, collards & cabbage, Mac & cheese, potato salad, beans & rice) were well seasoned but not salty. It’s home cooking at its best. Er’thang was DE-licious ! We highly recommend it if you are in Des Moines.

This is a must try if you are looking for some delicious comfort food. Her J*** Catfish was extremely flavorful. Let's not forget the Mac and cheese either. She's at the Kitchen Space by Drake every Friday and Saturday and we will definitely be back.
