The food was amazing. The service was great. Authentic.
Great food and service at a very reasonable price. Can’t wait to go back

When looking for good Mexican restaurants, trust me when i say my boyfriend found the place! A lot of their food is made in house and is generally pretty cheap for good portions. Their horchata is to die for as well as their strawberry water. When it comes to food, their fajitas looked amazing as well as their quesadillas. I got the mushroom quesadillas and it was spectacular. It was cheesy and the mushrooms were perfect. The staff is very friendly and very patient. I recommend this place especially if you’re looking for something at a good price and a good portion to munch upon!
The food was great—no complaints there! The only thing that fell flat was the hot sauce—it didn’t have much flavor, which was surprising. Maybe they make it in-house? Service was a bit slow, even though it was already 10pm. Also, when you order soda, it’s usually common to get a water as well, but we didn’t get any. We asked and were only given one cup, which felt a little off. Still, overall still a good experience.
My only quibble is i thought their guacamole was bland, and my chimichanga was very good.
Some of the best authentic Mexican food available in Des Moines! service is always on par, the margaritas are fabulous, and the atmosphere is festive and fun.
We have likely given them well over $1,000 dollars since 2006. Yeah, they have great food. Best Mexican place in Des Moines.
I have ordered shrimp tacos ? many times from Los Laureles b4 Covid they were outstanding but this weekend my household was in the mood for shrimp tacos, I work 90 hrs a week and treat myself and also the family but this time on 9/28 we thought Los Laureles would do the cooking, but our shells didn't get grill the shrimp had no seasoning and for what we paid like a few dollars $$ short of $70 I think this is the last time we get Los Laureles so said for my family ?????

I had a lovely outdoor lunch with my 7 year old. The patio was nice. The food was very delicious! I heard some people complain online about the nachos but to me they seemed like a thicker almost homemade texture. So there is less crisp but still a delicious flavor. My daughter gobbled up nearly all of them.
Kid-friendliness: They had a kids menu with the usual options.

My Burrito was great!! Chips were a little hard and cold. Salsa was really good, so that saved it.
