Good food. Staff were friendly. It's pricier than I remember. The food was delicious, but the portion was rather small. It's lunch but after the meal I was still hungry. They used to have big servings, but it's been awhile since I've been back. However, I recommend it for the friendly staff and clean eaterie.Parking: Parking is very limited and difficult to find a spot.
I was only in Des Moines for one night and was craving Chinese food. Since I was traveling, I played it safe with chicken fried rice. It was easily the best I've ever had. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. Service was fast. I would definitely come back here the next time I'm in Des Moines.

Quaint, casual dining area. Food was great, not super Americanized though-- so picky eaters looking for chicken nuggets in soy sauce might be hard to please.Pad Thai was excellent. Pho special was amazing (steak, meatball, brisket). Hot and sour soup amazing, even for some less cultured folks.Sesame chicken was a little bland, but I think it's generally meant for picky eaters anyways.
