Thank you so much for my daughter's gluten free cake. She hasn't gotten a delicious cake in a couple years, and she is HAPPY!!! Even I couldn't tell a difference, and I am not intolerant!

We ordered a large apple crisp for a retirement party at work and it was SO GOOD. It tasted homemade! Thank you Main Street Bakery!! The large said it feeds 25-30 and it was more than enough for our group of 30. Thanks again!

I am so glad we stopped by Main Street cafe and bakery for breakfast. I initially was afraid I would get lost inside the building, as it is on the third floor, but there were marked signs to guide us. There is also a front desk person that could help.Lots of options for food and drink, eating in or taking out. The breakfast sandwiches were really good and made to order. Fresh ingredients for all of their meals! Everything was really good, I would definitely recommend. There is so many good looking menu items, I will be back to try more.

I forgot to ask for dairy free (completely my fault) was going to leave and give my drink to a coworker. The manager chased me down and remade my drink even though I explained it was nothing they did wrong. He said I paid and he wanted to make sure I got my drink. Pulled up ingredients and everything to make sure I was able to drink the powder in the drink. Amazing customer service!

My coworker and I walked down to the Main Street Cafe & Bakery. We both ordered a frappe and she forgot to say no dairy when ordering. We were leaving and she decided to give it another coworker. The manager, Ryan apparently saw us discussing it as we left. It was 11:30 am and the place was very busy and he managed to noticed us. He caught up with us in the lobby of the 801 Grand and asked what he could do to make it correct. My coworker was reluctant to have another one made and kept saying it was her fault for not telling them when ordering. He would not take no for an answer and walked back in and found an alternative solution. He went as far to pull up the ingredients for the alternate dairy product. He went above and beyond to provide excellent customer service. Very much appreciated. Thank you Ryan!!!!!

My first breakfast in Des Moines happened to be the #1 on the menu. Love the texture of the raisin cinnamon bread, how layered flavors of meat, cheese, egg, & sauce blend together & friendly the staff were. Neat building, great atmosphere for working on your laptop, a cup of coffee or brunch.

You need to enter the office building and proceed up stairs to second floor. We had great breakfast sandwiches on GF buns. Staff was very accommodating. Everything is super clean with wide open space. Highly recommend if you are looking for GF.

This week the location reopened in the Principal building. It's dangerously close to my work. I walk by with temptation every morning from the parking ramp to the elevators. There's two counters to order your food and coffee. A variety of baked goods are on display to choose from. So far the location hasn't been crazy busy. The food comes out quick. Today I had the salad with salmon - to go. The vinaigrette dressing was great with it. It also comes with a big chunk of bread. Carb-liscious! I begrudgingly stopped myself from eating the generous size bread. I definitely will eat here again. Maybe for breakfast. Maybe for lunch. Maybe for my sweet tooth. The possibilities are multiplied by the variety!!
