Palms DSM serves tasty and flavorful Caribbean food with generous portions. The food is filling but not heavy, and every plate is enjoyed. Standout dishes include the jerk chicken, oxtail, chicken plate, honey suya wings, tacos, jollof rice, Mac and cheese, fried plantain, and rice & peas. The painkiller cocktail, mocktails, and other drink options are great. The decor and ambience are top tier with perfect music. The service is also perfect. It is a locally owned spot that provides a genuinely home-cooked meal and is an absolute 10/10, immediately a top restaurant in Des Moines. They won 1st Place at the 2023 Smoke Out Hunger.
