we payed almost $60 for a tres leches cake and it was terrible not only was it dry but the design was not what we asked and they Didn't offer any discount for there mistake, don't waste your time or your money thus bakery has gone

Not only do the cakes look great, they taste phenomenal. I could finish this whole cake myself. It's rich but light at the same time and not too sweet. We got a vanilla flan cake in the picture. Great service. Cake took less than a day!

I had called days prior to needing a cake for my gender reveal, i got helped and when i picked up it came out better than i expected since i let the bakery decorate how ever they would like. Great customer service and delicious tres leches cake! will come back for future events!

The 3 leches cake seemed like it was days old and they have just added evaporated/ condensed milk to not dry out. I would avoid buying cake here. It tasted terrible

First of all, it smells heavenly when you walk through the door. It was around 2:30 when we arrived, and they were still obviously working in the kitchen because the smells were fresh. The atmosphere is clean, fresh, and chic, and the cakes and desserts in the cases look absolutely astounding and irresistible. They have a large selection of options.Pasteleria was recommended for a special cakes. We had an excellent experience with them and the rest of the staff there. Clear communication, ease of transaction, and the Cake turned out better than we could have imagined!

This shop has awesome food including cakes and a torta Cubana. The hospitality and service was amazing. I asked for cake samples and he literally brought me out several big pieces of cake . I will only go here for cakes. Their tres leches cakes are amazing!!!

Best Tres leches I ever had.Its been 3 years in Des Moines, Pasteleria Raquel is my favourite place for cakes. I ordered a tres leches cake with pineapple for my first anniversary this time and it was perfect. My Wife loved it.The decoration on it was great and the taste was awesome.

dropped MLB at DSM going to CLT and needed a bite for the drive...was totally hoping for donuts or kolaches or polvorones mexicanos and such but got tacos instead... really hard to complain about such a turn of fortunes so I won't. Raquel's is a little snack shack sharing a building with a photo shop. they's got a couple of normal tables and high tops inside and all the whole world outside if you want to sit.ordered at the counter and a pair of tacos asada arrived shortly all hot and freshly made and delicious along with a pepper chock full of crazy hot something that looks like caramel but is most assuredly not :-) coffee is hot and fresh and flavory with just enough room on top for my upper lip. Perfect!!If you're near here be here ...and get a cupcake while you're in.

This place has large single serve desserts pre-packaged to go, so pick up flan, or tres leches or my favorite: Baileys tres leches - yup, tres leches cake in a bath of Baileys! Awesome!!! They make custom cakes that are magnificent - I've seen many people come in to pick up gloriously designed birthday cakes. Be a hero of the family and bring home desserts from here. They also make great tacos, tortas etc. Don't worry, the super friendly staff is bilingual. Always a joy to stop here for takeout, and always with dessert as well!
