We arrived in Des Moines on Friday for a funeral and grabbed a drink before leaving… Monday morning we were flying home. Kayla remembered us and stopped us for a chat. We ended up hanging out and Steven took amazing care of us. We will be back next time we are in town! Great staff, everyone was very kind and welcoming. Great suggestions as well!
Entire order was wrong. Ordered a burger, no bun, sub salad with house vinegrette for fries. Burger comes out with bun and fries no salad in sight. Set bun and fries aside and eat the burger. It was hot and delicious. Finally salad shows up with dill ranch dressing. I ask if it's the house dressing. I'm told yes. After tasting it I ask again if it's the house vinegrette on the menu. Waitress said she didn't know that was the house dressing and also tells me...
I have been to hundreds of airports and airport restaurants; this is by far the best airport food I've ever had. The margarita was balanced yet strong and the Portermill burger was delicious and cooked perfectly. I would highly recommend.
