This is a total hidden gem in Des Moines. We stumbled in late one night and were totally impressed by the high-quality bites. They have wonderful wine and a friendly atmosphere. The afternoon sun makes it a cozy place to spend happy hour. It's easy to make friends at the bar. Good choices for gluten free options as well.
Purveyor is my new favorite wine and tapas joint. We walked in for the empanadas, and quickly became regulars. Don’t sleep on the Friday night paella- it’s fantastic! The stuffed mushrooms are awesome too. Eva and Thomas are very knowledgeable and friendly and have suggested some great wines we wouldn’t have tried otherwise. It’s an intimate setting, great for date night. Definitely make reservations if you’re bringing a group.
We always take out-of-town friends here for the paella and house sangria, and it always gets rave reviews. The owner is so kind and knowledgeable, every single time, the food is always delicious, the vibes always immaculate.
