I heard nothing but good things about the food so my husband and I ate here today and we thoroughly enjoyed the food. My favorite was the fried string beans and spicy ranch. The collard greens we're delicious. The atmosphere was warm and friendly. My husband had the crab leg pot, although he would have liked to see a little more shrimp, he enjoyed every bite. We will definitely be back.
Very clean! Now, my biggest complaint/issue with our visit all has to do with time. Everything moved SO slowly, service-wise. Our server took our drink orders (all waters) right away, and then she gave us time to look over the menu. It took longer than usual (for other restaurants) to get our waters, but that's fine. Amazing food no matter what you get you can tell sir puts his heart and soul into it! we got the Cajun shrimp pasta, wings and the Mac and cheese absolutely amazing and I don't leave reviews often definitely a place worth checking out. We need more places like this in Des Moines!
