I've never left a google review but feel the need to after stopping into this specific location. All of the employee's were so kind and ready to help! It was super busy so the wait was longer than normal. My order was wrong, I ordered an iced and received a hot but I just don't think the lady that took my order heard me, which is okay! I still like my matcha hot as well.
I pointed it out to make sure it was mine, It had my name on it so clearly it was an honest mistake. Jack was so apologetic, he offered to make me a new one which I declined since I was already running late for work. The entire time he was making drinks he was communicating with everyone on wait times and if their drinks were next up, he was so friendly even through the morning rush and seeing his attitude was actually such a great way to start my own morning.
You have people who are kind just because they work customer service and then you have people who are genuinely kind and customer service comes so easy to them, you could tell Jack was one of those people.

I am not going to speak about the coffee cause pretty much is standard, like in any place of Starbucks is almost the same;
however what it matters here is the service, cause on that day I needed stronger coffee, but I like sweet and wanted coconut milk, so I hate that I forgot her name but this beautiful lady made something for me and I loved it and she took her time to wrote it for me, not only that the three times I was there the service, the atmosphere is amazing and to be honest I was there with so much in my chest, super stressed and I was loosing my faith in humanity for the many places that I went that they refused to help and in many places around ( different kinds) not having a good service for me;
so this coffeeshop gave an excellent service and they made me feel welcome and is nice to feel like this when in so many places were bad in Des Moines IA
so definitely it was nice to be earlier there and starting my day with good vides and service so I really recommend this location they have excellent service !!!!

Went on Thursday October 2nd at around 3pm. The Woman who took our order was very rude. however, Lauren (different person at the window who alone deserves 5 stars) was very nice. I had tried to order one of the hot sugar free matcha protein drinks which was not what I had received. I think we got one of the vanilla versions ? Lauren went and tried to remake it though thankfully as I understood it was an honest mistake. The lady who was the same person who took our order came to the window, double downed and said she asked me if i wanted the matcha (she did not) but I had quite literally ordered the matcha one. She proceeded to say she was going to charge me extra for the new drink and aggressively rang it only to realize it was the same price (thankfully because I didn't want to have to pay for a replacement given it wasn't entirely my mistake). I get that she was probably stressed and they may have had a lot of online orders or something, I tried to be as patient and understanding of the situation, but that woman's attitude was just so out of pocket. After she realized that there was no price difference in the drink they made me and the drink i ordered, she slammed the drive through window. I just want to say thank you to lauren but that woman with the crazy attitude needs to be delt with because people like that do not need to be in the service industry, more particularly around the customers. I get it, it gets busy and overwhelming, but taking stuff out on customers because YOU made a mistake is insane.

August 12th, approximately 230pm. I've finally had the best mangodragonfruit ( with lemonade). Whoever made this drink needs to give a class to all the DSM area Starbucks. I will drive from west Des Moines to get a drink from this location. The rest of the drinks takes waters down and not good. Even when I return the drink, they taste bad. Please give this feedback to all Starbucks in west Des Moines, Des Moines area and waukee. Its unfortunate ill have to drive 25 minute to get a simple drink that taste right but ill do it. Please sustain this drink.

Got two venti iced chai lattes and they were disgusting they tasted burnt and there was so much chai in it it was terrible. Worst Starbucks drink I’ve ever had. And the lady at the window was full of attitude,
