music is not good
We noticed the chalkboard sign outside and decided to give it a try! With only one other table occupied around 5PM, we expected quick and attentive service.
Unfortunately, we waited quite a while before our server even greeted us. After ordering our food through our phones, our server never checked on us—we had to flag her down ourselves. Our time there, she appeared to be behind the bar on her phone instead of checking on the few guests in the restaurant.

We came here to watch a Colombia World Cup game and Ta’Chido did not disappoint! The atmosphere was great with a lot of Colombian fans packing the house while service was still quick and reliable. The food was perfect for the game, staff was super friendly and the drinks came out quickly as well. The DJ came on for half time and after the game and played exactly to the crowd. Overall, great place to watch a game, hang out and grab food/drinks in Downtown Des Moines

Ta'Chido Cantina is a restaurant with a fun and colorful atmosphere. The margaritas are the best in town and happy hour is amazing. The food is amazing, with tasty options like quesadillas, tacos, and chips and salsa. The spicy salsa is a highlight. The outdoor and indoor seating is plentiful, making it a great spot to eat and drink before the bar crowd comes in. The location is good, near hotels and event centers downtown. However, the service can be awful, with mistakes like wrong food and overcharging. Some servers are very attentive, but others seem overwhelmed. Despite this, the overall vibe is fun, with a cheering crowd and lot of excitement, especially during events like game nights and downtown events on Court Ave.
