I’ve been coming to Juice Co since I was in elementary school, I am a senior in high school now and it is still one of my favorite spots. In more recent years i’ve been very unimpressed with the service being provided. Some days I get served by an older man (assuming the manager) and his service is always straight forward and nice. But more often than not it is high schoolers who aren’t friendly, like at all. I came in today, said hi to the cashier and she barely said hi back and just stared at me. I had to ask her if she was ready to take my order (which I shouldn’t have to do) after I told her my order she didn’t say another word, once I was done paying she walked away from the register. When my drink was ready, there was another guy (assuming to be older than a high schooler) slide my drink across the counter and said my drink order as he was walking away. This doesn’t sound like a “big deal” but It’s common sense to be more friendly to paying customers. I’ve never had to write a review on any place, but It’s getting ridiculous on how half-ass and dull the service can be sometimes.

I ordered a drink that was clearly listed in the smoothie section on both their chalkboard and online menu. However, the drink I received was thin and liquidy—more like juice than a smoothie. When I asked the worker about it, he said it was a juice, despite the menu stating otherwise. Very disappointing

I’m from Los Angeles, California, land of boutique juices. I LOVED this spot. They have convenient lists of every juice/smoothie ingredient, and even some helpful advice about what kinds of smoothies different levels of health enthusiast will appreciate. Cory, the owner, was kind, accommodating, and efficient. The drinks came quick, too - I’m used to Whole Foods wait time. If you’re in Des Moines and you like healthy juice, go out of your way to visit. (The 4-stars for atmosphere was only because there were some boxes kind of piled next to the counter. Definitely not a problem)

A true gem for Des Moines!! So grateful to have a local, family-owned business that sells genuinely healthy smoothies with honest ingredients I feel good about consuming and bringing home to my family. My husband and I LOVE the Mean Green juice and order it by the gallon. I hope they never stop this so I never have to worry about getting enough veggies on busy days. I'm 35 weeks pregnant and its made my nutrition so much easier to manage. Thank you, Juice Company!!!

This is the best smoothie place ive been to. I come here every day. You can customize your smoothie to almost anything, they offer samples of juices you may be curious about, and the staff is always so friendly - to the point they even know my order when I come in <3 10/10

Visit here with my partner from time to time and it’s always delicious. The chocolate peanut butter smoothie add toffee is to die for. My partner loves the aloha. Service is quick even when it’s busy. My only suggestion would be to add a green smoothie or juice that has greens but also has something to give it a little more sweetness to make it a little more palatable. I’m a big fan of green juices/smoothies (everyone needs a little extra veggies in their diet!) but the options here are definitely an acquired taste. They do let you know that up front and give a free sample before you buy, which is nice. An option like greens with pineapple and banana would be cool. Nonetheless, the smoothies are yummy and I will continue to come back.

I really enjoyed the PB&J Smoothie!

Very rude cashier, told her it was my first time, made nasty faces and felt rushed when looking at the menu. Decided to pass on a juice, need better cashiers that explain the drinks, and aren’t making customers feel uneasy, will not be coming back, will go with the other juicing spot by drake. Not gonna lie felt very prejudiced.

The smoothies are really good & it’s a cute shop. The menu is varied and it’s so nice to offer supplements to add to my smoothie. My only suggestion is to train your employees to smile more, be friendly and welcoming. The employees I’ve met give a vibe that the customer is bothering them by ordering. I knew exactly what I wanted immediately too, so it’s not as if I was indecisive. I realize work isn’t everyone’s favorite place to be but a smile goes a long way.

Smoothies here are great! I’ve come here a few times and have never had an issue with the smoothies. Probably won’t be coming back after I saw the amount of gnats/fruit flies in the store. There were hundreds of fruit flies or gnats on boxes of mango chunks and all over the back wall that sit on a shelving unit that I saw when I was just waiting for my drink and looking around the store. Drinks are great, staff is for the most part pretty nice and quick with making the drinks, just not gonna get over the amount of bugs i saw on their fruit that sits out and on shelving. Yuck.

Stopped here on a Sunday Funday for the best strawberry smoothie of our lives. Consistency was thick yet drinkable through a straw which is perfection in our book. Sweet, but not TOO sweet. There was an extra strawberry swirl that seemed like ice cream topping that put the smoothie into out-of-this-world status. Go there. Get the strawberry smoothie.

The new employee with short black hair needs some more training of how to make smoothies. I asked for my smoothie to be thick because the last 3 times he’s made it it’s been a liquidy mess. Even when asking for it to be a thicker consistency it’s still a liquidy mess. The younger gentleman with blond hair is usually trying to provide guidance to the newer employee but it seems pretty obvious the new employee does not care or pride himself in making good smoothies.
