I've been going here my whole life as a Des Moines native and Roosevelt alumnus. But only when I went yesterday did I come to appreciate how seriously good La Mie is. The quality of pastries at La Mie certainly rivals and possibly surpasses the quality of pretty much all of the pastries that I had in France and elsewhere in Europe last year.
