Shane sat down with us to go over our options and have a taste testing as well. The options were endless and the set up crew did amazing as well. “Me and my daughter went here this weekend, and overall it was great! This is my 11 year old daughter’s review. The inside was super cool, and my daughter really enjoyed the gingerbread house’s. Also, the inside swings as a chairs were a very smart idea. The food was pretty good as well. My daughter and I normally go to Starbucks to get cake pops, and the ones we got here were so much better! The taste was better, it was slightly cheaper, and way bigger than Starbucks. The only problem I had with it is it crumbled apart really easily. The edible cookie dough was amazing, despite the small amount they gave you. It was still pretty decent though. The variety of cupcakes they have is amazing too. And we also got the “Muddy Buddy” cupcake, 8/10! Amazing! The service was great as well. There is so many kind things I could say about this place, but I don’t wanna keep repeating myself. Keep up the good work!“
“Wonderful food but slightly crowded. There is a reason this place is so busy. Highly recommend the turkey club with extra avocado. Food is actually very low priced for the high quality. Staff are rushing to keep up with the large lines and people walking out with several boxes of the delicious pastries. Don't miss the chance to enjoy this little gems exquisite food. Come early though cause it goes fast.“
“7am on Saturday, this parking lot is packed with people sneaking a donut before a ride home to share the rest with family. Staff was welcoming and kind. I asked for a variety of 6 donuts and the employee packaged up 2 raised, 2 cake, and 2 cronuts. The sitting area has a few tables and chairs, nothing fancy. Price is appropriate. Highly recommend if you’re looking for the best donut in Des Moines!“
“It’s Easter Week, why not celebrate the resurrection with good treats. This place does not sale pies, but they have a host of creatively tasty cupcakes and cookies $3 and up, very reasonable locally owned establishment. Parking is street only, but well worth the hunt. They even have vegan cupcakes—yum!“
“I am so glad we stopped by Main Street cafe and bakery for breakfast. I initially was afraid I would get lost inside the building, as it is on the third floor, but there were marked signs to guide us. There is also a front desk person that could help.Lots of options for food and drink, eating in or taking out. The breakfast sandwiches were really good and made to order. Fresh ingredients for all of their meals! Everything was really good, I would definitely recommend. There is so many good looking menu items, I will be back to try more.“

“This was the first time in about 25 years that I have been to this Perkins Mckinley ave location in Des Moines. Came here for breakfast at 10 am. Was served by a waitress named Tina! This experience was one of the best restaurant experiences I have had in a long time. The food was outstanding! The service from Tina was beyond expectations! She was friendly, courteous and took her time with our order and made sure we were satisfied at the end. What a great server and restaurant. I will definitely return! Thanks!“
“We go out of our way to visit / order from the Beaverdale Fareway Meat Market! This is one of few places in the Des Moines Metro where you can find Boar's Head Lunchmeat (freshly cut). It lasts much longer than other grocer's lunchmeat! The pick-up service is amazing every time. Staff is all super friendly and helpful. Fruits / Veggies never disappoint, and usually less than Hy-Vee. Love this place. We will continue to frequent and recommend to others!“
“I’ve had this place on my list for a while and I was very pleased after finally going. It had many small nooks to sit in besides conventional seating. Which is great if you want a little more privacy or you were reading a book. I was also very surprised at how good the food was as it is a bakery I didn’t expect their meal options to be as good as they were. Overall great choice for a lower cost lunch spot.“

“Sarah made my son’s 13th bday cake this past weekend and it.was.SO.SO.good.My in-laws (who aren’t gluten free) even said they may order my FIL bday cake from here in a few weeks! She went above and beyond and also made his frosting with some special powdered sugar that was corn free!! There was barely enough remaining for my son to have leftovers the next day!We’ve ordered from Sarah several times over the last few years and everything has been fantastic.
