Went here from out of town to watch football on Saturday night. The bartenders were amazing, fun to talk to and accommodated all our requests to watch the Hawkeyes, Wolverines and Cubbies at the same time. The bartender Mikala had to run us down when we left because we double paid our bill. If I lived locally I would def return to the Tipsy Crow!

Very racist bar, you won’t get treated well if you are not an underage white girl. They treated the white girls we were with amazingly, and were very cold with the black girls we had in our group. It is a race thing, and it’s disgusting. We paid $10 each to get in. It was five of us. cool everything going great. Birthday girl ordered a drink. The drink was good. I asked her which bartender made it for her so I could ask him to make me the same thing because it tasted good as well. I went up to the bar bartender laughed in my face basically mocking me saying like oh you’re gonna show me a picture of a drink and we don’t do that and all this other stuff and I was like OK cool not a problem. I’ll have something else.
Then one of the girls sister came and wanted to join the party. We get to the entrance to get her sister and the bouncer is trying to charge her $20 to get in and we’re asking oh we didn’t know it went up to $20. We just paid $10 not even 10-15 minutes ago so when did it start for $20? He’s like just now got super aggressive started freaking out saying we’re holding up the line. We need to get out the way, we need to just go. So we (trying to deescalate) I guess we’ll pay the $20 and he’s like I’m trying to tell you I’m trying to give you a deal so just give me $10 so we’re just confused like you just said $20 but whatever cool we get the girl in he’s still being super aggressive. One of his friends come up like don’t be rude to him in a jokingly way and all this other stuff as if we were the issue when we were simply confused.
Other various situations where I go up to the bar and there is no great energy and then two blonde young ladies go to the bar and the bartender is all smiles and wanted to do free shots and shots on the house, even if it’s jokingly it’s still like can I get good customer service at the very least granted it is a bar so I don’t expect much but I mean, treat everybody the same even had a situation where I go up to the second bar top, (tired of the first one at this point) and how they had been acting and the gentleman pointed to a lady to take my order instead of just taking my order when he was just standing there. It was very apparent what was going on, and how quickly they tried to dismiss us with every encounter with staff.

Atmosphere was fine, bartender was totally rude and needs to go! Customer service is not her thing. Female bartender with blue hair needs to be a bar back only! Serving you is way down on her list of priorities! Drinks were even wrong to boot!!! Go somewhere else!!

The Saturday deal with $20 is untouchable and good. Also amazing service every time I’ve been there morning, afternoon and night. Really impressed with it all around. Surprised it’s not as busy as it should be sometimes. Kudos to management on running this place well.
