Was served raw chicken and service was terrible. I have never left a poor google review on a restaurant before but this was inexcusable. We had a reservation for 6pm. After placing our drink and food order, we didn't see our waitress again for an entire hour. When she finally showed back up I pointed out that we hadn't gotten our food yet when other tables around us who had been seated after us had already gotten their dinner and that she hadn't been back to ask us if we wanted more drinks or to explain that the kitchen was running slow (like she claimed). Miraculously after complaining our food came out 5 minutes later and was not warm and my friend's fried chicken sandwich was raw. When the waitress returned 10 minutes later we pointed that out and said a manager would come speak to us. Nobody ever came to apologize. A runner threw down a new sandwich for her which was actually cooked. I was shocked that no manager ever came to take accountability, apologize, or to offer her a free meal. Thankfully the waitress didn't bring her a check. Completely unprofessional experience and would not recommend anybody to go here.

My dad and I stopped in for dinner on our way back west to Omaha. We ended up both getting the same meal: meatloaf dinner. We both arrived at the same conclusion that the food was over salted and lacking flavor. It's southern food for a wide audience. I will stick to making and enjoying my own home "southern" cooking.

We went at 10 in the morning. After sitting for an hour we never got our food. The waitress came over once after putting in our order. We watched her run to new tables and take orders and get drinks but rarely saw her go to the kitchen to see if food was ready. We ended up asking another waitress to just pay for our drinks so we could leave. We won't go back. After asking for the check they decided to bring out our food and comp it- we didn't eat, we left. Ridiculous -

This was the second time we've eaten at this restaurant. I tried the peach & pineapple porch-sipper which was delightful! Felt like something I could sit on my deck drinking on a hot summer day. For an appetizer I tried the cup of sausage & beer gumbo which tasted fantastic and had just the right amount of spice to it. My main meal was the classic chicken and waffles. Never had this combination before and I'm definitely doing it again! Delish! For dessert I had the banana pudding and the small serving was just the right amount. I'd have it again, but I've had better before. Our server was attentive in all of the right ways. Stopped by just enough and at perfect times to keep up with our needs. Very friendly. Would definitely recommend anyone give this place a try!
