The food wasn’t bad and reasonably priced, but I’ve had better in dive bars. The burger was incredibly salty and I’m a fan of salty and this was too much. But the service and lack of organization was appalling, I wasn’t expecting superb service but this was horrible. With its ties to HyVee you’d think they’d put more emphasis on “customer service”. It was very apparent that the majority of the people dining in were incredibly frustrated. The fountain pop machine was malfunctioning and water was pouring out due to a button being jammed, one of the staff walked past , looked at it and kept on going while a customer was trying to fix it , I had to holler at him to get him to turn around and do his job. Will not be back and also seems to be hyvees theme recently to be declining with service so honestly not sure why I was surprised.

Changed their hours out of the blue to close at 6pm on weekdays... is it tough to staff this location? Pay more. How are you gonna close a grocery store at 6pm on weekdays?? Thousands of people working downtown don't get off work until 5:30 or later but now instead of dropping by this Hy-Vee real quick on my way home I guess I'll have to go to Gateway Market instead because I'm not about to reward this decision by spending my money at a different Hy-Vee like you're banking on.

I ordered the $10 meal deal, cooked medium well. Was not cooked long enough. Burger was placed on a piece of paper on a tray, allowing the grease to totally soak the bottom half of the bun. Fries were good.

Stopped by here for lunch when we came into town. There was 1 person sitting at the bar and 1 booth occupied. We went to to the bar to order and that was about it for service received. I got the fiesta burger without the bun and spice rub and extra mayo. Overall it was ok but the burger was seriously dry. Did use the bathroom after ordering from the bar and finding a booth to sit in and again before leaving. It was clean so that's a plus. Given a choice, I'd save some money, go inside Hy-Vee right there, buy what I needed to make burgers at home.

Arrived for a small lunch between court hearings, ordered at the counter, went into the restaurant to pick a table (12:20pm) sat at the High Top in the "bar" was told we cannot sit there, because it's the Bar service. I said does it matter, doesn't look like you are gonna get busy, (there was one table full and one person at the bar)... So we moved into "the restaurant" as instructed. The tables were dirty, most of them, and I despise booth tables but was forced to sit at one because it was the only TABLE that looked clean. He said I apologize we had a rush, LOL it was barely after noon, I seriously doubt that!But, my biggest complaint is WHY couldn't we sit in the "bar" area at the CLEAN high top table??? ? ? As a customer, I SHOULD be able to sit at any table I choose! Why must I be forced to sit in a dirty booth (which is why I HATE BOOTHS, they typically DO NOT get cleaned thoughly).

Ordered some burgers through the Hy-Vee online ordering that were supposed to be ready between 11:35-11:45am and they were not ready until 12:30 and there were no fries. We had a half hour to be in the parking lot so we had to pay $10 for parking. Pretty good food though! Nice staff, clean bathrooms.

Visiting from out of state. Stopped in after we visited the Farmer's Market. Had build your own omelets. They were tasty. Everyone enjoyed theirs. Only downfall to perfect score was long line for the bathroom. 1 for all genders to share.

Garbage. Don't waste your time or money. Guy behind the counter wouldn't make us anything because he said they close in 45 mins and then he'd have to throw whatever's left over in the garbage. I don't know what he was talking about? Besides that he was a whole hot mess not someone who looked presentable to be preparing food. If you go there you will see what I'm talking.
