“The double bacon cheeseburger had bacon so dry and overcooked it was embarrassing. We had trouble finding a clean table and when we found one, there was a blob of chocolate on the wall. We've seen this place cleaner. Hopefully it was just a bad day.“
“I had lunch here when my job brought me up to the Dubuque area one day. Most of the five-star rating is due to the fact that even in 2026, DQ still offers an extremely affordable lunch option with their $7 meal deal. The food was excellent and the service was fairly prompt despite the place being packed. When it does get busy, the seating can be a bit hard to come by. This DQ shares a building with a gas station, so the restaurant's footprint is smaller than a typical stand-alone DQ. I was very happy with my experience and would go back again if my lunch break ever happens to be in western Dubuque.“
“It's summer! These poor people work like dogs all summer, they are amazing! The top thing to do in Dubuque is grabbing DQ and going down to the dam to watch the barges. One goes with the other all summer long.
Thank you to the superstars that work so hard and fast to make everyone's visit special! I suggest the large M&M blizzard! Yum!!“
“This Dairy Queen is great, we drive out of the way special when passing through Dubuque. The location is not convenient, nor pretty, but they are friendly, the service is quick, and never had any problems. We have visited 10-15 times over the past 3 years. They seem to be seasonal, though, so check the hours beforehand.“
