12/17/25 had a wonderful experience picking up pizza. The workers were all extremely friendly and made sure that I had everything I needed (including ample taco sauce) before leaving. I immediately wanted to write a review for the pleasant experience I had. Would highly recommend!!!

I've been to quite a few Happy Joe's restaurants - including several that no longer exist. This location is, hands down, the best. I think the secret is that these folks still make their own crust, and it has that marvelous crisp bottom that gives each bite a marvelous crunch. They are also generous with their toppings, unlike some places. And, best of all, they have avoided the buffet trap, which means that all of their pizzas are made fresh to order - and taste great!

Excellent pizzas
Prices are way out of control at this and all other happy joes. Almost $40 for one large pizza, that is absolutely insane. You used to see happy joes cars all over Dubuque but now it is very rare to see one, your prices are killing your business.
God bless

I have loved this place since I was a little girl! I'm 60 now and still love going there! Great service! And let's not forget the awesome ice cream parlor!
They changed something. Not sure what, but the pizza was terrible. Really made me sad. It was always the best taco pizza ever.
Ordered a Party Combo Plus Pasta delivered on 10/20/24 since I had a group to feed. I was a little bit disappointed in the low quantity of the ingredients (sausage, pepperoni, beef, Canadian Bacon, mushrooms, black & green olives) and there was zero onions or green peppers. Lots of pasta macaronis! This is the first time I have ordered the "Party" Pasta, as I have ordered the "Combo Plus" individual pasta dozens of times. It appears that you are not "proportionate" with the sausage, pepperoni, Canadian Bacon, beef, mushrooms, black and green olives, etc. on your " Party Pasta" compared to the individual pastas you make! It was 95% macaroni & sauce! In dishing up my 8 people, I think they each had 1 pepperoni, a couple of chunks of sausage, ( I could not even see any beef topping or Canadian Bacon, green pepper, or onion), and a tiny "scatter" of mushrooms, black olives, and green olives (all of which were barely visable). Like I said, it was 95% macaroni & sauce. Also, instead of just putting the toppings "on the top" and covering it all with cheese, try stirring it up a little bit with the pasta and sauce before you put the cheese on the top. The pizzas I have ordered recently have had a lot more toppings!

Use to be best pizza in town still good but way over price.
I don't think this is my style of pizza. The crust is hard and crispy on the bottom but kind of softer (almost soggy) under the toppings. I will say it was better cold the next day. My kids liked it, though.
Waited an hour for two little joes. They dropped the ticket and we never received our pizza.
