The Filament Reviews
Had to wait for the hostess who was busy visiting with the bartender..then she rudely threw our silverware on the table and stomped away without a word.
We like the food and the waitresses are always nice..one bad apple 🍎
Went to The Grand Opra House and The Filament was suggested. Great Atomsphere, is located inside the actual Casino. Friendly and reasonably quick service.
Ordered pulled pork sliders, recieved 3 decent sized sliders and spent less than $15 on my order.
We were in town for a baseball tournament and had a lot of choices for restaurants. We chose the Filament. Food and service was fantastic. I especially loved the homemade pickles served with my sandwich. Now that cucumbers are plentiful from our little garden, any chance you would share how I can make a small batch at home? They were so delicious.
The Filament, located inside the Diamond Jo casino, offers a varied menu. The standout dish is the "Iowa T" tenderloin sandwich, which is described as huge and thick. The butterfly pork chop, seasoned wonderfully and larger than a bun, is also a highlight. The service is reported to be excellent, and the menu provides vegetarian options, such as a grilled cheese sandwich. The fries are praised, and the food is generally well-prepared. The restaurant also offers a selection of beers and liquor. The Italian beef sandwich and korean chicken tacos were good. The "world's greatest fries" were good, but not spectacular. The tacos were good, but did not have the promised gojujang sauce on them. Sweet, not spicy due to a sweet slaw. Chips were good. Salsa just ok. The Filament burger with coleslaw was really enjoyed.
