Melody’s Kitchen is AMAZING!!! Came up from Kansas City to visit family and was blown away. I can’t even pick one thing that was my fav because it was all so good - fried cheese curds, onion rings, fries, cheese burger, tenderloins (HUGE!), and crispy chicken and bacon sandwich. I also have to say how sweet all the people were too. ♥️

I’ve only visited Melody’s Kitchen once, but it left a great impression. While the menu and hours of operation are limited, the food was absolutely delicious. The burgers are huge—far more impressive than the photos suggest. The owners were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, especially Melody herself. I’ll definitely be returning the next time I’m near Eddyville.

Taking a trip from Des Moines to Cerro Gordo and we were looking for lunch. Came across Melodies Kitchen in Eddysville! Such a great find! Had the biggest burgers ever, almost 3/4 patties. One mushroom and Swiss, One bacon jalapeño and cheese. Along with fries and mushrooms. Delicious food. Great atmosphere and very clean. Highly reccomend!!!

Such an awesome little restaurant! It is super clean and nice on the inside, and the food reflects. I ordered the steak Philly, and to my surprise it was ENORMOUS with real Philly steak and hearty vegetables covered in the perfect amount of cheese. The hoagie bun wasn’t overpowering, but was big and soft. I added bacon and jalapeños, and it’s some of the thickest bacon I’ve seen in a restaurant. The sandwich was incredible. I also ordered a side salad, and it was big enough for a light lunch in itself. All in all great experience, staff was super nice and helpful, and you can tell they take the time to make things the right way, the small town comfort way! Highly recommended.

We discovered Melody’s during our stay in Eddyville and kept coming back for the delicious food! Everyone was so welcoming, it was like sitting down to a family dinner every time we came in. You definitely won’t go home hungry, everything tastes amazing and portions are generous. We will definitely be coming back!!! Thanks for keeping us fed while we were in Iowa!
Oh my goodness, the food is just awesomeness!!!! I don't mind paying $17 for a hot home cooked meal, with dessert, and the portions are big. I always bring home leftovers for dinner for the next day. They really make customers feel welcomed. Small town hospitality! 🥰 I give a tops 10/10 to this place!

We eat at Melody’s at least once a week. This is the only place we have found where we feel like we are eating at home with family. Portion size is very large, the food is homemade and excellent quality, the atmosphere is more a family than it is a restaurant. All the staff are family and they do not treat their customers any different. There is a large party room in the back for large groups. The specials are delicious. I should also mention there specials are a four course meal! Prices are more than reasonable. I have had a burger, tenderloin, chicken Philly, onion rings, fries, hot beef sandwiches (almost everything on the menu) and none of it has ever disappointed us. It is not unusual for them to ask if you got plenty of food to eat before you leave. They also offering catering options. This place is a gem. It is on a paved road in the town of Eddyville with ample parking, and excellent parking for motorcycles.
