“15 minutes before they had to turn off the grill and they still msde our order. A small chicken salad ? chicken strips and a Philly Steak. Everything was done in 13 minutes and they gave me a time of 15 minutes. So it was even done early, very friendly, clean and I have to say the food is amazing. Will be back again and the portion size and quality was five star ⭐ service. Thank you guys”

“This was our first time at the Wood Iron Grille. We loved it! The place was very busy but the staff worked very hard to get us seated & served. My husband & I both ordered the featured burger - the Iowa burger. It was cooked to order. I loved the sweet corn mayo that came with it. I also got the green beans - amazing. Very good! “This is a MUST STOP every time we're in Oskaloosa!! We stock up on cherry nuggets,frosted molasses cookies, almond macaroons, and dutch letters. They also have little place to sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of milk with your tasty treat. Stop by the next time you're in the area. It's a great little shop.Parking: There is free parking off the street in front and a larger free parking lot in the back of the shop. The ladies are so kind. They will answer questions about their tasty treats.”

“I work in this area from time to time and always make it a point to stop by this great spot. Cool atmosphere friendly staff! Wide variety of beers on tap. They had a private party going on earlier and owner made it a point to make sure I had something to eat ( on the house ) very cool! I felt right at home.The potential of this place is endless! “It's the most delicious little small town cafe around. It's usually always packed because the food is still good. But yet you never have to wait too long to get a table. You seat yourself and stay as long as you like. Breakfast served til 10:30 I Believe and then they serve lunch till 1:30pm I do believe. If you've never eaten here I really highly suggest you do diamond in the rough style.”

Not the cheapest late in town, but for the speed and accuracy, I don't mind. Only issue I have had isn't really withing their control, which is the traffic flow in and out of the drive thru.”

“Dined in at Pizza Den. Ordered Honey Siracha bone-in wings, Supreme Pizza, Alfredo Pasta Dish and Side Salad. Everything came out as ordered and freshly made. Fast service and food tasted great. They regularly have nightly pizza specials that are a good deal. Overall, great experience and food. Nice dining option to have in Oskaloosa!”

“Driving home from Des Moines and needed a quick meal. Didn't want fast food, sandwich, drive through ? nothing seemed right. Stopped at maid-rite and BINGO... Perfect. Had a chili dog with cheese and onions, and house fries (real potatoes cut up). Great staff, great food! Thanks Maid-Rite ?”

“Daughter and I stopped in to check this out a couple weeks ago! Was smaller that I though but we still had a great time. We're not much for video/arcade games but we ended up spending an hour and a half here. Definitely like the one time fee. We will probably be back if we need a lil time to kill.”

“Nowhere on their website or in their advertising does NoCoast suggest they have a taproom. A "brewery" does not inherently mean that the brewery in question has a taproom. Reviews dinging NoCoast for this are silly. As for the beer, this is very well made beer. I am a bit puzzled as to the Untappd reviews at times, but it does not take long to realize many on Untappd are novices that don't know much about beer and have very limited tastes when it comes to certain beers and styles. I have tried the Van Go IPA, Hop Botany, Make Waves, To Peach their Own and Yoga Poser. These are all excellent beers that are complex and/or well balanced. NoCoast has especially delicious IPA's that tend to have a great balance between malt and hops and all have very good aromas. Make Waves is one of the more interesting and tasty amber ales I have had, and Yoga Poser is up there with my favorite pale ales. While they don't have a taproom I highly recommend the beers they sell in stores.”

He grabbed a hunk-o-bacon and put it on the scale. Then he said "Aw, wow, there's hella bacon up in that half pound." Now every time my husband and I plan to buy bacon, we say that we need "hella bacon" All thanks to mystery man at Hy-Vee meat counter. Other than the bacon shenanigans at the meat counter, I also think it's very nice that the ladies at the registers don't judge me when I go in every single morning for one blueberry muffin and a single can of energy drink... when a normal person would just buy a package of muffins and a 6 pack of beverages so they don't have to go to the grocery store daily... we've all got our weird idiosyncrasies and I'm glad to not be judged by the helpful smiles at Hy-Vee Oskaloosa for mine.”

“I had to travel for work on a Sunday, which I typically try to avoid. I searched local restaurants and saw this one, and decided to give it a try. Small town asian restaurants tend to be either really good or really bad, with very little in between. When I go to an Asian buffet type restaurant, I am not expecting the greatest quality, just comfort foods like general Tso's chicken, crab Rangoons, and some white rice at a reasonable price. This place exceeded my expectations. Each of the items in the buffet that I tried tasted fresh, not like it had been sitting under a warming lamp for two hours. The chicken meat (both white and dark) was high quality, no bits of gristle or other unchewable stuff that I often find at lower quality restaurants. The crab Rangoons were really good. Even the rice was very good, not having that dried out texture that it can sometimes get when it sits in a steamer pot for too long. The sushi was also surprisingly good. I never set my expectations high for buffet sushi, but I keep the bar even lower at small town restaurants that serve sushi. I mean, who expects decent sushi at a small town Iowa buffet? It was surprisingly tasty, even if the selection was limited to only one roll type item. My only gripe is that it was kind of dark inside, in spite of the windows being unobstructed and the sun being out. It's kind of a pet peeve of mine, but buffets really should portray a clean and bright environment to emphasize that they are high caliber restaurants. Buffets tend to be viewed as dark, dirty places, and I always encourage proprietors to upgrade their lighting to make their restaurants appear cleaner and more inviting. Aside from the lighting, this place solidly impressed me. For a small town Iowa buffet, it was very good.”

“My shrimp tacos were delicious. The cheese sauce has a little kick to it but it's good. Servers have always been friendly and service is fast. Not a fan of the frozen strawberry Margheritas but that's honestly just a personal preference thing they weren't bad. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meals. Prices were decent as well. Definitely recommend.Parking: Mall parking lot, restaurant is inside the mall”

I mean the food was good for fast food. But let me tell you about the customer service. If you are having a bad day… Go to Taco Bell. The guys that were working were absolutely hilarious. They were personable, kind, generous, full of energy and will keep you rolling with laughter! 10/10 would go back just for the workers that work there.
