The onion rings were traditional onion rings and not the stringy ones and they were delicious! Our waitress was very nice and knowledgeable she was attentive by what we needed . “My husband and I stayed in Ottawa to go to a comedian and we love to have drinks and food at Mexican restaurants. I was reading some of the reviews and someone put that they would rather go 30 minutes to another town and I just have to say this was right down the street from our hotel and it was one of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve ever been to and we’ve been to quite a few. We live in the Des Moines area, so wish we could be back sooner than later, but we had an absolute amazing experience. Our waiter was on point and everything was delicious. 10/10”

“I had supper at Courtyard Bar & Grill tonight while watching part of the World Series game. I talked with both Danny and Bren at the bar, both of whom were glad I'd come in. The food was pretty good (fish & chips), bu the service and personal friendliness made me feel very welcome (I'm from out of town & state). But what was extraordinary about the meal is that someone angel there paid my bill. It didn't cost me a dime! I am both touched and grateful to whoever was so generous and kind. Thank you! (I'll be back!)”

“I recommend YES on the delicious food. But NO on mischarging. Today Nov 13, 2025,my husband ordered the regular Monte Cristo at $9.60 plus a salad at $1.75. However they charged him for the deluxe sandwich which included salad and fries.. PLUS the salad that he ordered. When we tried to point it out at the cash register and held out the menu to show their price, the waitress grabbed it from my hand and said something about some people just don't read the menu. She would not change the bill so we ended up paying for the deluxe plus another salad. As much as I love the food, I really don't want to go back.”

“We’ve been coming over for a couple years and more regularly the last couple months on Saturday mornings. The 3 young ladies that work Saturday mornings are amazing. Very kind and fast. This is my favorite coffee shop. We usually just get coffee, but have gotten breakfast and lunch. Every time every thing is delicious.”

“I went to Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa from August 2016 to May of 2017 and this is my honest review of Indian Hills. In a nutshell, it's a solid community college with some great features but also lacks certain qualities because of it's smaller size. Here are some pros and cons of going to Indian Hills. Pros: - Even though it's a community college, they have dorms, a cafeteria, a basketball team, a workout gym, and even a small number of clubs to join. They have somewhat of a community life and the "college experience" that many kids are looking for; although not as much as a bigger school. - There's some good programs to join, especially in the mechanical department. - Instead of two giant semesters, Indian Hills has a quarter schedule. This can be both a pro and a con. Because of the quarter schedule, you don't get summers off like you would at a traditional college. - There's a lot of international students that come to Indian Hills and live in the dorms. Cons: - Many of the cons and limitations of Indian Hills will be because of the fact that it's a small community college which is something that they can't help; just keep that in mind. - Even though Indian Hills does have somewhat of a community and social life, it's not always active and this is especially the case during the winter when kids start moving out of the dorms. Meeting people and being social won't be much of a problem during the fall when new kids start moving in for the first time but it will definitely be a problem in the winter as students start to move out of the dorms. Also because it's a smaller school, there won't be as many clubs to join and as many opportunities to meet people. Unless you find a solid group of people who are like you early on, you may wind up feeling pretty isolated in the long run. - Indian Hills is somewhat of a small town. It does have a Walmart and a movie theater but there isn't as much to do compared to living in a bigger city. If you wanted to go clubbing, you had to go to Iowa City which was 1 hour and 30 minutes away.”

“If you get propane at the main store it’s 18$ and some change and it’s proudly labeled, which is cheaper than Menards or Walmart. But if you take the faster more convenient approach and go the gas station it’s going to cost you 5$ more!!! They also mysteriously forgot to put the price on the cage. Typical Hy-Vee tactic.”

“A little out of the way and a somewhat dimly lit parking lot gave the place a bit of that sus feeling. But we were welcomed as soon as we walked in to an open seating area with plenty of sports channels on multiple screens throughout the bar. Our server was great, gave us plenty of time to look over the menu and was quick with refills. They have a pool table area off to the side and plenty of friendly staff. The Crab Rangoons were awesome, and the loaded waffle fries with chilli and nacho cheese was fantastic. I had the Mac bac and cheese with a breaded chicken breast on a chibatta bun with homemade onion rings. I was blown away with the crispness of the breading of the chicken breast, the mac and cheese with bacon is always a hit. The homemade Chipotle Ranch was second to none. My friend had the bench warmer Philly cheesesteak sandwich with the curly fries. The fries were awesome and the sandwich was phenomenal. Next time I'm going to try the prime rib Philly cheesesteak option they offer and see which one I like better. These guys know what they're doing in the kitchen, and they have some of the best servers and bartenders in the area.”

“I know Hardee's in New Ulm MN has had some issues, but I went there today and was more than impressed! there were at least four people working there and they were so friendly and the food came really fast. it was fresh and hot and delicious! I can't wait to go there again, it looks like they have really pulled it together!”
