“Absolutely delicious. Best I've had in iowa period. Al pastor is yummy. Burrito is big enough to be 3 meals. Customer service is 100% top notch. I hobbled in today after working my usual 10 hour shift barely able to hobble. Didn't wanna cook just wanted to sit and put my feet up. The gentleman at the register took my order and told me I could have a seat in my vehicle and they would bring it to me. As he saw the amount of pain I was in. He didn't have to but I greatly appreciate it and went and to my truck. They brought my food to me I thanked them again and went home. Thank for the amazing service and delicious food. ?“

“Stopped on a Thursday around 6pm. Very busy, but I was seated immediately and was enjoying a margarita and chips with salsa before I had my coat off. The staff was very fast and very friendly. I ordered the Burrito Ranchero. The pork was tender and well seasoned, and the burrito was stuffed with all my favorites and covered in queso and verde. I left knowing that I will be back!“

Enchilada Plate

“This is easily the best Mexican restaurant in Ottumwa, if not the best I’ve ever been to. In the dozens of times I’ve come here over the years, not once has a single aspect of the experience been disappointing. The food is delicious, the portions are huge, the prices are affordable, the restaurant is clean and the staff are amazing— they work super hard and all deserve a raise! I highly recommend Potros to anybody who wants a fantastic meal at a reasonable price.“

Taco

“Stopped here passing through town for authentic Mexican food. It did not disappoint. Food was very reasonably price, flavors were authentic and flavorful. Ambiance lacked a bit. This is a night club clearly servicing food out of a kitchen. Tables and booths were very spread out and distant from serving area. Every thing felt a bit sticky from being a night club. I would probably get the food to go next time. Service was excellent and we didn't know what all the dishes were but the staff was very patient with us and explained what the food was. I would definitely recommend this place as the food was 5 star!!!“

“These are the best tacos in Ottumwa. The homemade salsas and perfectly cooked meats make these wonderful. Very delicious!! Service is quick and efficient. More than passable. I've got to try more things on the menu. They have many different kinds of meats like chicken, asada, pork al pastor, lengua. The server went right to the favorite, asada, and I had to clarify that I wanted something different. Its okay. I look like a guy who would order asada. I always ask. I would suggest a better menu that fits what is on the menu. All the meats available would be great. Ambiance is typical taqueria decor, but most people coming here are really looking for the great food. It's clean and well lit. You know you are in a great taqueria when the language being spoken predominantly is Spanish. I love this place.“
