Enjoyed the food and atmosphere until the (assumed to be) teenagers working started speaking very loudly in a derogatory way about gay and queer people at length in a manner that could be heard in the furthest corner of the lobby. Very unprofessional and inappropriate in a work setting. It made me uncomfortable as a customer and, as it continued on, ultimately led me to want to leave earlier.
Stopped in last weekend from Des Moines,Food was the bomb much better than any M R in the BIG D👍The wait staff was Spot On sooo I’ll see you soon!!! Oh I forgot, the eating area was clean and so were the trays.
I've never been disappointed in the tenderloin and homemade fries. The loin is thick, and the breading is crispy. And does not taste like the oil it was cooked in. The fries were perfect the crisp was just right.

The tender and well-seasoned Maid-Rite sandwich offers a unique experience, reminiscent of a neater sloppy Joe. The dining experience is decent, with a unique sandwich format where customers order at a counter and staff bring the food to the table. The old diner aesthetic gives it a local and family-run feel. The atmosphere is great, and the service was extremely kind. High chairs were available and clean. The food was delicious as always! Some fries could be good, with skins on, but were a little limp. The eating area is clean.
