This is a wonderful family bakery. I drove over to Elkader Iowa for buns and cookies for my daughters open house. I was really impressed by the quality and flavor of their baked goods.I wondered why I had to drive a 60 mile trip to pick up rolls??? They were amazing and well worth it.If you are ever in the NE Corner of Iowa this is a gem to check out. But stop early before every thing is gone.
I used to go to this bakery with my dad when I was a child. It is still as good as I remember, or better! So neat to see a business be around for this long. I now live out of state and when I'm back in Iowa for a visit I always sure I take my kids here.

Took a day trip and had read an article about this bakery. I couldn't wait to see for myself if it was as good as everyone said. It was better. Wish I had arrived earlier selection was getting low by 10AM. Next time I'm in the area it will be a must stop.
