I came across The Brim while camping in Backbone State Park. This is a great looking little coffee shop with a modern feel. The staff were polite, but not particularly welcoming. The menu is broad and easy to understand. My latte was delicious, as was my chicken bacon ranch wrap. I will definitely return.

On our recent business trip to Elkader, we chose to eat lunch both days at The Brim Coffeehouse. The star of our meals was their homemade sweet vinaigrette that topped their Harvest and Chicken Salad salads. I also loved their unsweetened iced tea, and my colleagues enjoyed salads and their soup of the day. I look forward to opportunities to return in the future.

The Brim is such a gem in Northeast Iowa! I travel some for work and I go out of my way to go to Elkader for lunch when I’m in the area. I highly recommend the Fat Boy Club with chips. I’m not a coffee drinker, but I’m sure their coffee drinks are wonderful, too. The staff are always welcoming and friendly and the service is quick and consistent.

Great local coffee lunch spot. Wide varieties of flavors and delicious coffee. Had lunch there as well, yummy wrap and pasta salad. If you are in Elkader, you definitely need to stop by. Shout out to Samantha, she knows her stuff!

Visiting family in Postville and we drove down to get some breakfast and coffee. We stopped here on our 2nd day driving through town and wish we would have gone here both days!!! The coffee was soooooooo good! My wife is a barista and we both are coffee snobs so we are very picky. This coffee was AMAZING and the staff was so friendly and they helped my parents decide what they would like and they loved their coffee. Definitely hit this place up if nearby. I can’t wait to be back to get their coffee again and hopefully try their cinnamon roll that looked so good!!!

I recently started working in Elkader and have gotten lunch here a few times. Every time I am met with a bright smiling face when I walk in. The coffee is ALWAYS delicious, as is the food! Love that there is an order online option, as I don’t always have time to call or walk in and order.
