Veraison Wine Shop & Bar

One of my favorite lunches in Fairfield, with an incredible wine list. I had a vegan salad plus burrata and an orange spritz today, and it was a perfect end-of-summer meal in the sunny courtyard. My mom had the burrata and tomato sandwich and also loved it. Do not forget about this lovely, hidden spot when you are deciding where to get lunch or a chill afternoon drink.

This place is a hidden gem. Honestly I am surprised to find a place this good in Fairfield, everything is good quality.

I am not a wine buff so I can’t give an expert opinion on the wine itself. The wine I had was certainly good, but.. I’m probably not the best judge, I barely drink.

I was actually most impressed with the food. The dishes are really well put together and with the absolute best quality ingredients.

It’s the quality of food I’m used to getting at 5 start resort restaurants. And actually the ingredients here are probably better quality.

It’s not really a place to go for a really heavy meal though. This is like a bar restaurant.

The place is nicely decorated and suitable for a date night.

Service was really friendly and they have a nice selection of non alcoholic mock-tails too.

Great craft cocktails and wine selection. The owner is a sommelier who also makes great craft cocktails and has a nice food menu.
We especially loved the vegan options on the food menu.
We ordered the vegan mediterranean board, and the vegan Veraison big salad. Both were excellent. We also had the vegan veggie sandwich and it was very good but a little on the spendy side for the size ($9).

We loved the bar area- very pretty with a great selection and a knowledgeable mixologist.

This is a delightful spot to grab some organic wine and cocktails and have a vegan bite to complement. There is a clearly marked vegan veggie sandwich - it was good, a little on the small side. The Veraison Vegan salad was delicious- herbed chickpeas, organic red lettuce, cherry tomato, olives, walnuts, and artichokes with a balsamic vinaigrette. The real winner was the vegan Mediterranean board. It was plated so nicely and felt special. Updated from previous review on 2024-06-10

Everything a casual wine bar experience should be: great selection, tasty bites, and a beautiful patio. Our host treated us to samples along with our order. We felt taken care of but never bothered. A great place to pass an hour or two on a warm day!

Vegetarian options: Options like loaded focaccia, olive and nut plate.

Parking: At least 4 spots available on the south side of the building, marked "Visitor"

The owner/mixologist/sommelier is awesome. The wine selection is superb and the cocktail selection fun with creative add-ins. The focaccia was delicious. Check out their website for happy hour specials and events. Highly recommend this Fairfield establishment- cheers!
