Food was good, except my chicken sandwich had way too much sauce, soo messy! They should've provided hand wipes! They charged extra for pickles on my granddaughter's cheeseburger and for a tiny container of ranch dressing!! The hostess was less than friendly. A smile and good attitude go a long way!
Service great/food was very tasty

Not good... Took a three year break from eating here. Then came back. Appetizer basket was very undercooked. Staff was friendly and attentive. Two other patrons with me we're very underwhelmed as well

Today is probably the 4th or 5th time I've been in here in a year. Two were yesterday and today. I can tell you why this place isn't packed all the time. It's because your bartenders and wait staff do not engage the customers. That's why people come back. Every time I have come in I sat at the bar. I know intimate details about the servers personal lives because they all cluster at the end of the bar talking to each other. I know where they get their nails done.... I know which coworkers they're trashing today. Certainly no requirement to engage with the customers, but really it's the difference between success and not...
Always good food and the customer service is awesome! The ribeye steak sandwich is my ultimate carnivore favorite! Best in Fort Dodge in my opinion!

So to start, the waiter I got was cool but hearing, and I quote, “I don’t know how to read this” when it comes to an ID is concerning, especially since the restaurant sells alcohol. Regardless I’m willing to cut the waiter some slack especially after how well he manages his position, well to me anyway. The waiter gets the manager (which is good) and the manager looks at it and then asks for my DOB (date of birth), this is the first time I’ve ever been asked for it in regards to my ID. However I wasn’t bothered, I managed to say it, stuttering, but I say it. Given I’m not a socially active person and I used to work with people I knew well, and thankfully I don’t have to work anymore, I mainly talk with people who are my closest, like family or friends. The manager, OUT LOUD, says “Oh so this IDs a fake?” And I get hit with a glare, for obvious reasons I’m shocked, I’m not only embarrassed given it’s a public setting and I don’t want to appear as one of those people in front of the general public, but upset that I get disrespected because, and I’m only assuming it’s for this reason, I stuttered saying my DOB. I have been to distillery’s and many other restaurants where I have drank. My response is “But it’s not a fake” and clearly the manager doesn’t care and just gives me my ID back. To which I’m restricted to water, if I wasn’t in a party of two others I would’ve just walked out the door. Surely it couldn’t have been hard to say, “I’m sorry, but I can’t verify your ID so just drink something else”. I’m paying for food, drink, and service, not to be accused of something and be disrespected. However we stay because I’m with this party, and the waiter apologizes profusely, saying that the owner could suffer the cost of $10k if they served a minor alcohol, now that was nearly word for word, but I won’t quote it given I feel as if I could be missing a word or two. Though I do feel like if the owner wishes to not suffer something like that, then, simply put, DO. NOT. SELL. ALCOHOL. Especially when you have worker(s) who can’t properly read an ID, but that’s just my opinion on the matter, especially when it could create less problems like my situation apparently created. Back to my experience, the waiter was very nice, took me asking for food to actually start getting food, but I won’t hold that against the restaurant or the waiter, sometimes there are human error in these things, like he forgot and already needed to manage other tables. I told him what we wanted, he got me a water and the rest their drinks. We ate our appetizer and I have to say, it tasted like something straight out of the freezer. It tasted like something I used to eat as a kid when I would just put stuff in the microwave while my family did their business, which was nostalgic for me I have to say. The burger I got wasn’t much of an upgrade either, the only thing that made it good was the ketchup, maybe I’ve grown picky or something, but it just wasn’t good without ketchup acting as a sweetener to make it bearable. The waiter brought me a refill without me asking which was very, very kind. I honestly believe that was the highlight of my time there, besides my foot stepping outside whenever we left of course. After we ate, we left. And I tipped the waiter heavily, for the kindness shown, because I have the money to and mainly because I knew I’d never come back.I hope everyone else has a better time than me, because I don’t think I would go back there willingly. The disrespect, the lack of quality food, your best bet is to choose somewhere else. I hope the place gets better and maybe others will get to enjoy it, because I most certainly had my first terrible restaurant experience here. Hope everyone has a good day and goodbye
