“Ninja Steak house meets the standard for a quality dining experience in Fort Dodge. I can happily say that the sushi is truly good here. And yes, there is such a thing as "bad sushi"- but I am thankful that it has never been served to me here. The staff is extremely attentive, courteous and efficient. Their respectful service makes the experience even more pleasant. Beautiful fish in the fish tank, lovely dolls and cool pictures on the wall enhance the atmosphere so it is not so sparse. My husband who is not a sushi fan has even found dishes on the menu that he likes. I have yet to try the steak here, so I can't really comment, but the appetizers and sushi rolls are definitely up to par!”
“This is what a food & drink pub is meant to be. I had two nights to see what Fort Dodge had to offer I'm glad I gave Shiny Top a shot. I sat at the bar. This place is modern & clean with a dive bar vibe. You'll find friendly staff who enjoy helping their customers, especially the bartender, friendly customers, great local beer options, music playing at a reasonable level & a food menu with lots of options. Yeah this place has all of that. The pizza really is pretty darn good too & the ingredients go from edge to edge with no bare dough. If you need some extra sauce their homemade ranch is great. One of my favorite pizza joints yet!”
“Soldier Creek has some amazing wines and their Ghost Pig Cider is great too! Love to stop in for their festivities and events. A fun place for the whole family! We love their adult easter egg hunt & the live music events.”
“My wife and I went of a date here to try something new, and boy we wished we had tried the place sooner. The atmosphere is a quiet relaxing vibe with korean based decor that was enjoyable to take a look at cultural items. The waitress was kind, informative, and diligent to make sure we had everything we need. Not to mention the surprise we had when the robotic waiter brought us our food which was cool. We tried the Koren fried chicken and dumplings for appetizers. The fried chicken was to spicy for my wife, but I found delicious with a spice level akin to Nashville hot chicken. The dumplings were prepared to a T. My wife got the shrimp and vegetable stir fried noodles that she loved so much she ate the hole plate which is unlike her. I had the spicy pork stir fry with a side of kimchi and rice. As a chili head the heat level did not disappoint. It's a kick of flavor with a nice heat behind it. For desert we got the crowaffle and mochi ice cream. The mochi ice cream was good, but the star of the crowaffle. It's a crispy waffle crust with a light croissant inside. We had ours with strawberry preserves and ice cream. It was so good on first bite it put an actual smile on my face. Between the 2 of us trying a swath of the menu it came to just under 80 bucks. It was definitely worth it and we plan to be back to try more. I would highly recommend to anyone because this place should really be a fort dodge staple for a night out of fairly priced but delicious cuisine.”
“Had an amazing time here! Our Waitress Chelsea was genuinely one of the best we’ve ever had. She got what we needed immediately and was super friendly. The food was so so good as well!”
“This is a great little hole in the wall!! I stopped in to try the birria ramen, and it was AMAZING!! The consomé was rich and flavorful. I would highly recommend this to others ?”
“I loved coming here. The food is great. The workers are nice, and there's always a game going on at least 1 of the TVs, though it can be really loudKid-friendliness: When I come here with my grandparents, the staff always waits for me to say what I want even when I freeze up and forget”
“My kids love this place for ice cream, but they do offer more they have good food as well. I ate there a couple of times and never had anything bad from there. The ice cream selection is a great choice for even the picky ones.”
“Britney was fantastic! I was visiting from out of state and was so excited to get some cheese balls since we don’t have those where I’m from and she helped me get in a last minute order. Thank you, Britney!”
“My parents always took us here once or twice when we came to visit my grandparents when I was growing up. Now as an adult, I too, always stop in once or twice when I visit my mom (who lives in F. D. now). It's always as good as I last remember. Friendly staff, friendly prices, and fantastic food. It's usually very busy, but I caught them during off peak times mid week this time around and definitely suggest this to others. My favorites include the smothered Sancho (it's like part enchilada, part taco, part burrito) and the crustos, which are devilishly good cinnamon sugar tortilla chips. My only minor complaint is the interior has never been updated in my decades of recollection.God willing, I shall be back”
“Amazing light lunch. Glad that Dodge finally got a suitable Tea house. The service was also delightful and attentive. This was a last minute lunch decision by my daughter. The atmosphere was perfect for quiet conversation.”
“Service was awesome and so was the food. The pulled pork sandwich was on special and it was pretty good, not overwhelming with sauce either. The wings are huge here and have a slight breading on them that gives them that extra crisp. Will be back again for that Philly next!”
“Stopped in River Hops to fill my growler while visiting FD from my home in Michigan. Picked up a four-pack of Rolling River IPA which is great (must be the MI hops)!! It's nice to find a serious microbrewery when traveling. I look forward to returning ; )”
“Their food is going down. I got some grill chesee for my little one and bread was so cold imagine the chese didnt melt s...t. sausage was burn from and row inside. I didnt like it this ”
“This is my favorite burger on my travels so far. Im working in town for the next month, so I finally got to come back and it's as amazing now as it was 3 years ago. Must stop if you haven't had a burger from here.”
