4 Best Coffee Shops in Fort Madison

“My hubby and I moved to Fort Madison 7 months ago and one of the first things on my list to find was a good local coffee shop and let me tell you, Swed & Co. delivered on all fronts! Swed & Co. is everything I want in a coffee shop — modern & laid back atmosphere with lots of light, seating and outlets, downright GOOD coffee, tasty food & pastries, and friendly customer service. My go-to order is their Caramel Latte (half sweet) with the ham & cheese or chicken salad sando. Love their little boutique shop too, I’ve picked up some cute gifts for friends there like stickers, magnets, greeting cards and totes. We always bring our friends or out of town guests here and they all absolutely love it. 10/10 would recommend!“

“I love their menu options and the baristas are always friendly and quick! I would give 5/5 stars but any time I go to get coffee close to closing time they will have a piece of paper on the window that states they are already closed. Just stopped by today 15 mins before they close and once again they are already closed! Checked their Facebook page to see if there was a post stating why they closed early and there was nothing!“

If I go to order and happen to not know what exactly I want, they are patient and always help me as I talk through what I'm in the mood for (I understand how annoying and frustrating it is when someone goes to order and doesn't know what they want). They're always very nice and cheerful. They have never let me down on drinks or food!“
