The Stag Inn Bar & Grill

We held a private event at the Stag for our 50 year high school class reunion. Richard and Jennifer pulled out all the stops to provide the PERFECT event for us. From the outdoor gathering space to the sit down meal, everything was done professionally and with great competence. In today’s world that is so refreshing! The food was amazing, the service exemplary, and we could not be more pleased. Five stars PLUS from the Lamoni Class of 1976!!

Another really great dinner at The Stag. Love this place, no wait, and love to see it packed!
We had the Mac and cheese with chicken, and the cowboy burger with onion rings. started with the cheese curds, ate them too fast and forgot to take a picture :)

It is a delightful old home with a inn, bar and restaurant. Owner makes a lot of it himself. The food is great & deserts are wonderful. The have drink specials each week. It is one of only a few that I can eat pastas at because they do gluten free. Absolutely love it.

This place is a treasure of southern Iowa. The food is always amazing! The service.... well it's a small town, lol. They will greet You by name, and take care of you better than if your family. I visit The Stag as much as possible! Look for the specials! So good 👍

Visiting from the remote Pacific Island of Yap, I found the Stag Inn in Garden Grove Iowa to be a special welcoming place to go. The food, drinks, and friendliness makes this a very special place to go. The Staffs and Owners were amazingly friendly and just made me feel like a Regular Customer at their Bar.

I eat here probably few times a year. The restaurant is just great. The staff is kind and interactive. The food is delicious and filling. I took my mom today she hasn’t been in the building in 30 years. She just loved it.

Wow just wow in the middle of Iowa we found this amazing place to eat and stay. Best Ruben sandwich I’ve ever had ( except what I make). It’s well worth the 13 mile jog off the hwy. it’s an old library that has been renovated into an inn/ bar. I will be back!!!
