We stayed in Grinnell for 4 days for the NASCAR races. We found this gem on our first morning and made it our daily breakfast stop. DELICIOUS food, great service and clean restaurant! Highly recommended!
Prices are reasonable. We got the fried pickle appetizer, which was a good portion and tasty. My daughter ordered chicken fried steak which was pre-made vs. Homemade and the gravy tasted like it was out of a can. Would not recommend. I got the smothered chop steak which was a good size portion. And was pretty good, put the plate was covered in liquid,which created a bit of a soggy taste/texture. I had an excellent breakfast here. Really enjoyed it. I was in Grinnell just the one day to visit Brownell's, and choose this restaurant because of the good reviews. I was not misled. Food was cooked well. Coffee was good. Service was cheerful. A great experience. #Recommended.
