We were hiking on the Sargeant Road Trail as part of our walk across the country, and it was the day before Labor Day so the only place to eat in Hudson that was open was the Federal Pub. So we decided to go there for pizza and beer, plus we called in advance and the bartender told us that they are hiker-friendly, would let us charge our devices and fill our waters. Cool! We had a good time chatting with the locals, the food was delicious, and it was nice that they served it with a complimentary bowl of snacks kind of like Chex mix. I like how they offer mini pitchers of beer (32oz) for $5. We had a nice time.

Total dive bar! At least two fights while we were there. Pretty sure someone peed on the floor while sitting at the bar. The cops showed up as a result of earlier fights. Bartender was drunk and took a while to serve us. He went out to smoke before grabbing our drinks. We only stopped in on our way home from Tama.
