I’ve gotten food from here a handful of times and each time I’ve had absolutely no complaints and been very satisfied with how filling and good the food is. They always get my order right and make it very simple to customize the ingredients. If I lived closer I’d be there much more often. I see one particular customer decided to leave a couple of poor reviews after she wanted to alter ingredients to an OG Philly cheesesteak and realized some things cost more than others. I usually tend to look closely at the menu to see if I will like what comes on the sandwich before ordering it, but I realize some people aren’t the sharpest. The meat is delicious and cooked well, the chicken version of the sandwiches are great too(I like pairing it with buffalo sauce). Will be back in the near future.

Best cheesesteak I have ever had in my life outside of Philly. It’s authentic as you will find.. down to every last detail. Lots of toppings and meat at a great price point.. & delicious fries. Fast service too considering its all fresh and cooked to order.. Sweet and friendly owners and staff. Clean facilities and they give back to the community also. Shop and eat small and support local. You won’t be disappointed and this place will quickly became a favorite and frequent stop for you and your family!!

Drove 25 miles, spent $34 for 2 sandwiches n 1 fry. Meat has no flavor. Tried to get mozzarella cheese instead of cheese wiz but that wasn't happening. Had to get more expensive sandwiche to get mozzarella cheese. Not very friendly environment

Food is great but the hours suck. I've only been here twice mainly because only being open till 7:00 in the summer is bad for business. There's probably been 10 times that I would have gone there but being it's a busy Saturday and not watching the time it's nearly 7 before I think about eating. The last time it did visit I was greeted by a "huuuh" at 6:45 by a staff member I guess because I was too close to closing time. I do like the food though.

Being born, raised and still living in the Philadelphia region, I consider myself a Philly Cheesesteak connoisseur. I love a good cheese steak. So I was looking forward to the day when I got through Humboldt to try Philthy Phillys.
Today was that day. Many restaurants have a “Philly cheesesteak” on the menu but none of them are the real deal. Not the case at Philthy Phillys. Their sandwich is authentic Philly as it gets.
I had the OG with whiz and onions. The thinly sliced ribeye steak was cooked to perfection. No oily drippings, was not tough in any way and was very flavorful. The onions were cooked to the perfect level of caramelization to add just the right amount of flavor and a touch of sweetness. The cheese was melted to pure smoothness.
Anyone from Philly will tell you that all of the above doesn’t matter if the roll isn’t right. At Philthy Phillys, the roll is exactly what you would get in any steak shop in the Philadelphia region. It finishes the sandwich perfectly.
To round out the meal, I chose the batter dipped fries. Again, cooked perfectly. They weren’t overly oily and the batter was light and crispy.
The dining area is decorated with all things Philadelphia. Tables and seating are comfortable. Ordering is simple by placing your order at the counter. Once the order is placed, your meal comes out packaged and ready to go. You can then eat in or take out. Nice and simple and efficient.
This is a veteran, family owned business. As a veteran, I seek out these types of businesses to support. I give Philthy Phillys my highest recommendation. If you live in Humboldt, give them a try. If you relocated to the area from Philly, you’re in for a taste of home. If you’re just passing through, it’s worth the time to stop in. I assure you, you won’t be disappointed.

Seriously good stuff. This place has the closest thing your going to get to a real Philly cheese steak around the area. They give you both options of either the wiz or the provo, the bread is nice and soft. Also the Philly fries are pretty damn tasty as well. I really hope this place sticks around.
Parking: It's downtown in a small town, of you go for lunch you may end up walking a block. It's worth it

We've gone back more than a dozen times and the Service once again is Fantastic, the Food is again Fantastic and the quality Is OUTSTANDING. What is so good they have been the place to go and Eat.
Yesterday was day 1 and WOW, the food was seasoned brilliantly and cooked perfect.
Service was absolutely beautiful as well as Friendly.
Philthy Phillys is an Extreme welcome to HUMBOLDT IOWA.
The Hoagie Buns are soft and the location has Gluten Free bread too.

was driving random backroads through Iowa and stumbled upon this one. it's a hole in the wall, which is why we stopped. got an og and Motown. og was pretty legit. Motown was a little dry. fries were good as well. good find in middle of nowhere.
