This place is so consistently good. I live in KC, have lived in North Carolina, and spent a lot of time in Texas for work so have tried some pretty good BBQ. I try to make this a priority every time my wife and I are in town seeing my folks. I've had brisket, pork, prime rib, and those unbelievably good stuffed jalapenos.

From Texas and very picky about our BBQ and TexMex. Daveys was spot on!! Meat was perfect and the sides we had were delish! Everything was really good!! Portions were HUGE! You get a lot of food for the price. Those that said it was expensive , the prices are not near the prices back home and the portions are much bigger and the quality of food is really good. Our waitress was super sweet and accommodating too.

Wonderful food, service and atmosphere. Enjoyed family get together with 10 people. We shared appetizers, every person ordered something different. Food arrived with perfect timing, drinks filled often. Staff very accommodating, owners came to make sure everything was going well. Very pleasant experience, well worth the hour drive.
Davey's is the best new place to ope in Ida Grove in ages. Kim and Davey are doing an amazing job tm with their first restaurant. The staff is welcoming, the restaurant has a great vibe, and the food is fantastic. A few suggestions when ordering:1. The bacon wrapped smoked jalapeño poppers are outstanding. Don't ever come without ordering at least one. 2. The smoked meat is amazing--brisket has great flavor and texture. Pork is smoky and delicious. Hard to go wrong!3. The fries have a delicious seasoning and you'll have plenty of help eating them if you go in a group. 4. The cornbread casserole is phenomenal. A touch of sweetness, but a great side with any meal. Can't wait to go back. Keep up the great work!!

Ordered the chicken sandwich and bone in wings to go. Food was very good and was still hot when i got home after making a few stops. The mac and cheese had a little spice to it but was by no means overwhelming.I liked the atmosphere when I walked in and was greeted by all staff (including kitchen).

By far, Davey's Bar and Grill is the best place to get authentic barbecue. If you love all things grilled or smoked, Davey is the master of all things meat! Order ANYTHING on the menu, and I promise you will not be disappointed. The service is top-notch and super friendly. They also have a great selection of adult beverages. The atmosphere is authentically amazing. If you're in the Ida Grove area, you simply have to eat at Davey's Bar and Grill!
