The Indianola location looks and smells like a giant health code violation. Garbage in the parking lot, face and hand prints on every piece of glass, no air conditioning, and the overwhelming smell of old milk. Not a recipe for a good experience.
Yummy goat milk ice cream!
I visited today, Sept 21 at 2:15 PM. I have 2 major complaints. It's a comfortable 77° degrees outside and they had the heat cranked all the way up to AT LEAST 90° inside 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵. Why on earth would you want it so hot in an ice cream shop. Secondly, I informed the 2 teenage employees that I had not been here before and I needed a few minutes to decide. That was their cue to step back and let me look. (Plus I was the only one in the shop) every step I took, the blonde kid countered, staying in my face, up and down the glass display as I try to decide on which shitty flavor I wanted. On top of literally boiling while standing there, I felt extremely rushed. I told him that I had changed my mind about buying ice cream here amd left. Give customers space. Don't make them feel rushed! I would understand if you had a line out the door. I'm literally the only customer in the store. I will not be back. 😡😡😡
PS. You can tell by the fact that the owner does not reply to any of these horrible reviews that they absolutely dgaf! Hopefully they do not re-open next season!!
We recently had the Outside Scoop truck at our wedding and I think it was one of the best decisions we made! We have loved getting ice cream from Outside Scoop for years, so we felt it was the perfect idea to have them at our wedding as well. The booking process was easy, we got to choose the ice cream flavors, and they communicated very well. We got a lot of compliments on having ice cream at our wedding and would highly recommend the idea to others getting married!
Yep, so I have a question. I was in there today. I got a malt was going to give a cash tip. I already paid for said item. I was told by the young lady behind the counter she cannot accept cash tips. Only tips through the computer. So you tell your employees not to take cash tips because you can’t get a percentage of THEIR tips if they take cash tips is that what’s going on?
Just went in there on a 95°+ day and the AC isn’t working. Not sure why they’re even open, it’s like dangerously hot inside there because none of the windows open and the doors were left closed. In addition, there’s vomit in their parking lot. Go inside, the employee tastes the ice cream on a sample stick (because he didn’t know what the flavor was), then he proceeds to spit it out into a paper towel. He spit again into a paper towel and got spit on his hand. Didn’t wash his hands, just got a new pair of gloves. Lost my appetite, I don’t think I need ice cream.
Had a scoop from one of the trucks stationed at the Midwest Tropical Show today - it was goat cheese and roasted cherry, which was absolutely transcendent. Would absolutely have it again and again.
6$ for 1 scoop in a cup. Ice cream is so so. Staff was terrible. 2 flavors were out. Girl behind counter didn't offer to get more from the back until her manager told her to. Raspberry lemonade sorbet was atrocious. Won't be back. Ever.
We went to the Indianola location and I absolutely love the ice cream! Unfortunately a gentleman staff was working with a very pleasant woman staff that was very helpful. But, my daughter was having difficulty eating the ice-cream and I was trying to figure how some way to get the ice-cream a little softer for her and the woman was all for helping me and I was willing and ready to pay for whatever I needed to but the gentleman wasn't willing to compromise anything. Thank you to the woman but do better for our little ones!
The woman did do right by my kiddo and made me a small storm without charge but it was not without back and forth with the male staff.
Amazing ice cream. It's a very cute place and they have freezers full of to-go containers.

The best ever!
Delicious, different variations of flavors, kind staff, and has indoor and outside seating! Perfect for a summer treat! 🤍🍦
AVOID THIS GARBAGE!!
One star because I cant choose zero.
I thought Id try the new icecreme place and I regret it.
The icecreme is nasty, gritty with a chemical aftertaste.
At 9.99 per quart i am pissed off.
Spectacular flavors!
This place has delicious ice cream. Anything with something in it is truly loaded!
My daughter got the cookie dough and there were the biggest gobs of dough I’ve ever seen! The chocolate brownie was fudge and delicious!
It’s a little bit pricey, but worth it for the occasional outing.
I was delighted with the seasonal goat cheese and blueberry flavor I tried as well! We’ll definitely be back to try more of their excellent goods!
Oh my word!! I got 1 medium strawberry shake and a sundae called “sweet and salty”! No prices listed anywhere! The kid that made it acted like he didn’t know what he was doing! Some other girl rang up the tab and I couldn’t believe it!! I will NEVER stop there again!!! My tab $24.79. for 1 medium shake and 1 sundae!! My husband waited in the truck and when I said “enjoy it” he said he would have walked out and left it!! I should have!!!! Never again! I’ll go buy my gallon at Sam’s club and add my homemade fudge that is MUCH better than whatever was on that sundae!!
