food is well decribed on the menue but is bland and over prices. service is awful from hostess not able to manage seating to horrendous waiter that took 10 minutes to acknowlwdge us, refused to leave pitcher of water when 3 people at table were only having water, then poored water into glasses and spilled all over table with no apology or try to clean up. took order and did not check back in after others delivered meals. others reported they were unable to assist us with more...read full review
Alebrije sources produce locally and has ordered from us at the Iowa City Farmers Market on multiple occasions. They’ve asked us to grow for them but unfortunately, we don’t have the production to keep up with a restaurant’s demand. Regardless, their owners have stopped by often to personally pick out produce and their chefs regularly experiment with some of our Asian greens to create unique fusion dishes. Wow I have never had better tacos in my life! They also have a super unique and authentic menu!! I’m so glad I came here while I was in town. All the staff was so caring and the entire restaurant was gorgeous. They have such a unique look. We sat upstairs under a gorgeous wall of live plants. It was truly memorable!
